<peacedove>It does not happen often, but this season I strongly believe that Everton are going to finish above Liverpool in the league.
They played very well at Old Trafford yesterday and possibly have denied United thier 20th league title.Liverpool home form have cost them darely in the league this season, the only thing that can safe the season is winning the FA cup.
I cannot see any other way there are going to be changes next season, but I do not know exactly where.

We will take Carroll for 3.5 million.

On a serious toe though who does take the blame for the season. I watched the game yesterday and a number of games over the season and by my accounts you probably create more chances than any other team in the premiership but don't convert them. 28 chances and no goals yesterday is just awful.

I believe your only one or two players away from a title challenging side... A central midfielder and a centre back. Oh and although king Jenny is held in high regard...godlike status like kevin Keenan to us in the past I now believe that it's not a good idea for a legend to manage your club because people's feelings for the man get in the way of making key decisions... No other manager would be safe as houses in a managers job if they had the home form you guys had.

P.s any spelling mistakes are because my iPads predictive text editor..

Err... A centre back and centre mid?? Yet you highlighted the fact we create loads of chances but dont convert them, surely thats down to the forwards. We need a goal scoring striker, wingers (good ones and not downing) and attacking midfielders.

Defence for most of the season has been superb and with Lucas to come back CM will look alot stronger (perhaps one addition would help, so that Adam doesnt have to play)

the manager should be changed (kk can be moved to director of football) and a modern and tactical manager brought in.
the team is not set up to be scoring goals. the players are just shooting from everywhere without coordination. look at newcastle. Ba has moved wide and Cisse is now the target man. the team has been reorganised BY THE MANAGER to pass the ball to cisse who is ALWAYS inbetween the center backs. in our case we have a carroll that is always far from the 18 yard during attacks and a suarez who is always wide on the right. so even if we sign a striker and the team is not told to target him it will still be aimless shooting at goal.

Wait, how did you conclude a CM and a CB would solve our problems? One striker and one attacking right winger and we're sorted, the rest would be cover.

Also regarding the manager; it's hardly his fault we're under such poor form, is it? He can't get on the pitch and knock the ball in, or stop Glen's bad backpass, or clear it when Carra hesitates...we played great football yesterday, created loads of chances, hit the woodwork twice and only conceded from one ****up from a player only just returning from injury. Kenny gets blamed for too much.

How would moving Kenny from manager to DoF change anything then? It's still an influencial role in our club. Either he's bad for us, and goes completely, or is good for us and stays. We're not going to keep him if he's crap!

Again, there's nothing wrong with our football, there's everything wrong with our players. Cisse has a footballing brain. He knows where he needs to be to get the tap ins, to get on the end of crosses and to be ready for the passes. Andy, despite his improved performances, is just a battering ram with little brain capacity. His attacking positioning sense has been dire all season and if Suarez is the creater then he needs to be the finisher - a role he doesn't have the mental ability to play in.

has anybody noticed just how often Cisse takes up 'passive' off-side positions from which to score his goals?
