it's what Red said..a bit like the rep points, but you get like/dislike points...pointless unless those things bother you :)...so if you like someone's post, click, otherwise, steer clear ;)

And good luck with the decision-making Yorkie...it's a tough one for sure...i'm sure you must have listed out the pros and cons, and if you're still unsure..as my mother always says "if in doubt, do nowt"...so far it's been very good advice...<hug>

Can't collaborate this but apparently Roy Hodgson and Kenny Dalglish now have one Premier League victory each in 2012 at Anfield <laugh>

Waiting around for nearly an hour at Peterborough station this morning wasn't exactly how I planned my return to the island to go but I feel sorry for the couple that I was speaking to who had a fixed ticket as the train that I caught was due at 10.40 but arrived about 10 minutes late, before the one that was due at 10.03 which is the one they were on. The route went through Sandy station - wonder how close Sandy lives to there.

Back on the rock - after collecting pie and I, my ex is making jokes about sending him to Coventry (he went and to watch Jersey RFC - it was, as hoped a promotion party - St Peter's is going to be rocking next Saturday when the trophy is presented). A good weekend apart from the result yesterday, we should've won.

The real one! Even though only 50,000 attended the game - fairly small by Aussie sporting standards.:(

Happy St. Georges day to one and all - I would normally take the day off to celebrate, but I have a very bust week-end coming up, so had to give it a miss this year. Will have to make up for it in 2013.

    Thanks for the frothy AK.

Nice start to the day in West West London, lets hope it keeps up for rest of the week.

Morning all from a grey and damp rural France. Rainfall has been about 50% lower than normal this year and the farmers are seriously worried about the possible restrictions on their water usage. I just wished we could have a drop overnight which would leave the daytime dry enough for me to carry on with my outside projects.

After the first round of the Presidential elections yesterday it would appear that Sarko is going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat if he is to get a second term. I along with all of the other incomers do not have a say in the matter, but really I would have been hard pressed to have chosen one of the candidates. Very high turnout across the whole country suggests that the natives do take the elections seriously, in fact 85% of the people in our commune did go and state their choice. If you take away those who were not here yesterday to cast their vote it is an amazing turnout. It is quite an interesting system with a hybrid of PR and first past the post.

Saturday and the last game of the season seems some way off yet. It is a shame that Sarries will still have a game to play afterwards, otherwise you could have all taken a bit of the old pitch away as a souvenir. Mind you they might not notice too much.;)

morning all :)...Mondays are mental so i won't be around much, going to try and get a quick jog in by the canal after the first lesson, the marathon has inspired me, as it does every year...til i start jogging and realise i'd never make it! lol. One day i'd love to do it. A Watford supporting Twitter person did it in 4 mins 17 yesterday, pretty darn impressive..i'd be happy with 6 hours!

Anyway, enough dreaming, time to head to work. Laters taters.

Bloody heck - the 4 minute marathon! A bit more than pretty impressive, surely!

I had an early start and I am a bit lost now. Which project to chose first, they all must be done.

You could have some of the pitch anyway.

If you ran a marathon in 4mín 17 that is a speed of 591kmh. This is three times faster than a skydiver.

I wore my red rose round Tesco in Carmarthen today - if the Welsh can sport their leeks and daffs then I can be proud to be English too

I find it hard to envisage people walking around with leeks attached to their collars - slightly less hard than me attempting to wear a wattle tree with pride I suppose. :)

On St Georges day as well http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17808127 the BBC could have picked a better time, but then they hate Britain and Britishness and England and Englishness.

TNS should never be allowed in the FA Cup. It is less fair that an English club be denied a place in their own cup competiton becase a Welsh club wants to enter. Do Scottish clubs participate in the FA Cup or (excluding Berwick Rangers) English clubs in the Scottish Cup.

Either they enter the whole shooting match and join the English league structure or stay away, and you can see the FA welcoming them with open arms as a PC gesture.
