Went in there(if its the same place),but there was a bar called Wigs(at street level),so had a couple in the Hard Rock Cafe and paid for the mariaches(sic)for her and up the steps to Wigs for a few and then down the other side of the river, went on the 4 missions tour and got burnt to ****.
There was a little Irish bar on South Padre up the strip towards the far end of the Island,it was quieter than the other end, those American college lads are loud as **** but the girls on spring break are fit as ****,but she'd have killed me if she'd have caught me ogling the birds.
There is a decent Piano bar downtown too which is a good laugh. Coyote Ugly is on the riverwalk too. Was the 4 missions tour on one of those boats??
I think they girls look hotter than here becuase they all wear next to nothing and all have a proper tan lol The sunshine breeds hotties.
Texas! I was born and raised in Houston before moving to Memphis! PMK and I have our usual Te-has talk and seems we have another! I agree about losing kids to other sports but I coach currently with the youths and that is starting to change a lot more, probably because of the exposure of the game over the years but the talent pool coming up is pretty good and give it another 10 years we should have top top players coming through.
South Padre is a heavy spring break, college party spot so you probably get a good mix of the drunks and sluts from all over!
Its funny.... Even though I lived and worked there I dont know many Americans as all the lads I worked and hung out with were English.
Dont forget the official no.1 sport in Texas... football?? Baseball?? Basketball???? **** no! Beer pong!
No,it was missions as in the Alamo, there were 3 or 4 others on the outskirts of the the city that were attacked by the Mexicans before they got to the Alamo, but there in the middle of nowhere with no shade. Anyway, you lads can chat **** and chew the fat about coaching. bye y'all.
I think football ( american) might be on par on beer pong, but the fact you know beer pong is + points, great college drinking game, hard to do when you are older as you feel like death hungover on the next day!
If you go anywhere near a soccer field in Texas all you can hear is English accents booming around from the trainers. I met alot of players but alot of them were foreign. Americans dont like it when you say it but alot of the better players out there are the hispanics.
We used to play a game called drenga too... its basically jenka with drinking dares written on the blocks as you pull them out.
I am not one of them, I love it when kids are diverse because they probably know the game and I don't have to get them to watch games or try and get them into it, they already have the passion which is half the battle! Ya, When I moved to Memphis we played loads of Texas teams but Dallas texas was always a good game, loved playing against the top latin players and the few others
I didn't realise unil i got there just how big soccer was in Texas. Soccer is MASSIVE and they have far better facilities than we do here. If they can capture the imagination of the public then America could dominate the sport for years to come. Maybe when the current crop grow up and have kids of there own. You have nailed down the female game though, I think the mens game will need more of cultural change to have the same success.
Need more cultured coaches or ones who see past the sterotype Divison I physical bollocks that we produce ( aka MLS). It is getting better, having Klinsmann in charge and Reyna in charge of the youth development, we are on the right path. Still some ways to go but we are making the right strides. Need to get some of the old heads out of the big positions and let the new younger generation in and we could be on our way.
