I thought Brenden did well and came across as humble, i think he knew there would be questions about his future but thankfully he got off pretty light apart from that tosser shearer who threw a spanner into the works!! im just glad we didnt get a close up of Brenden blushing I think he will be staying here for now, and didnt read anything into his thoughts tonight to suggest otherwise
Well there has been speculation and the pundits would be wrong to ignore it I suppose. Shearer saying that doesn't make him a tosser does it? He's been very complimentary of the Swans this season as has Lawro and Hansen.
not to you maybe, but why say anything at all ?? in such a tight scheduled program Shearer didnt need to say anything at all but chose to do so, therefore that makes him a tosser in my book. Your book is i think its safe to say alot different from mine
Saying nothing doesn't make for good T.V does it? Particularly if you're paid to be a pundit. It would be a pretty short gig. Don't know why you see conspiracy theories everywhere to be honest. It was just an off-hand remark.
I agree it was an off hand remark but he could have just stopped after saying he wishes him well for next season didnt know it was BBC policy to comment on specualtion and pass it off as punditry, but there we go learn something new every day.
Pundits comment on speculation all the time. They aren't ostriches. It would be curious if they didn't confront it. How many times have we heard the question that starts "Is there any truth in....." ?
its not hard to understand why he's said it, as it will undoubtably mean that whoever united play will play extra hard...and that if united win the league than he was right, and if they dont then happy days... though i suspect we all knew that anyway
