He got voted PFA player of the year. The young player went to Kyle Walker, which is an unfunny joke IMO.

Congrats to our very own Robin. He fully deserves it for the work and effort he has put in this season.

Robin has pulled us through these hard times, and there is now light at the end of the tunnel. The transitional period is over, time to strengthen the squad! Lets hope Robin sticks around for the good times!

I'm still suprised about Walker though. Surely it should have been Aguero?

I hope this is the case. I'll admit that it does feel that something has to give this summer and with the squad we already have it could be an exciting 2012/2013. I just hope Wenger shows some balls in the transfer market.

Kyle Walker beat Aguero, that's just a mockery...

Well deserved, anything else would have been a bad joke.

But Walker winning YPotY is completely unjustified. How can Aguero be in that category and not end up snatching the award?

    Anyone watching MOTD2 right now?

Did the pundits get instructed to do some Wayne Rooney propaganda? Brendan Rogers saying that Rooney is up there with Messi can't be serious, right?

  11. The BBC are a complete joke on Rooney - up there with Messi <doh> Perhaps in the diving stakes.

  12. Sky Sports are reporting the awards now - its just they are only reporting Walkers win <laugh>

Messi rarely dives. I rarely seen a player that tries to stay on his feet as much his does, considering the amount of players that are normally around him. Rooney beats him on the diving stakes, although to be fair to Rooney I do not think he has dived this season.

Congratulation to Robin. We are lucky to have such a great player, hopefully he stays with us for next season. Well deserved.

PS I wonder if he got Kruls's vote.

Undeniabley desereved accolade for RVP - he is simply outstanding. The fact that he's won this award and is top scorer - all with Arsenal, wouldn't have happpened without the team around him, so they deserve some credit too.

Walker ahead of Aguero, I think that's a nod to a gesture for recognising a young english homegrown player rather than any reflection on actual relative talent between the two players. Aguero is a far more talented player.

As for messi diving. I think jayram chose the wrong player to hold up as an example of barca theatrics, although the sentiment was accurate.

The amount of spud players in the TOTY is laughable. Where are Newcastle players, Swansea have some great talents, etc? What a ridiculous list...
There were some deserving players though, Rooney although I dislike the man has been fantastic this season as well.

I agree 100%. Rooney is a great player but he is no where near Messi.

I think Walker has been excellent this season but he's no Aguero! How old is he (Aguero) though? I thought he'd be too old to be in that category. Superb player. Walker has a very bright future ahead of him too (if he leaves Spurs!).
