Alright lads, with our championship status now confirmed we can start to look at new players, we were rumored to be bringing in scott loach from yourselves in the summer, and again we have been linked with him, just wondering if this move would be likely as your current keeper is on loan from Manchester United so perhaps Loach would go straight back into your side or could we have a realistic chance of signing him? Cheers
If we can get TK on a permanent basis your welcome to him IMHO On the other hand if we cannot get TK, on yer bike son
I think Loach will go this summer whatever as he seems to need a new challenge to refresh him - I wish him good luck whether he stays or goes
Ive always rated him, even though he gifted us a point at your place, but calamity repaid the favor twice at ours, how about a swap deal james for loach was he in any form when TK came in?
Just his usual self! TK has been immense except his debut when he had a shall say a faux pax, or a calamity moment
Loach will be a great keeper, but i suspect it won't be with us. I don't think our goal keeping coach has done him any favours, but with the right nurturing, he will come good. He really should have been doing better than he is by now..rather than slipping backwards, he should have been looking forwards...i hope he manages to find a club that can give him (a) the coaching he needs and (b) the respect he deserves. Saying that, i can't see TK staying with us beyond this season, so i'm guessing Loach will be with us a little longer yet...
If we can't get TK then I'd happily swap Loach for David James plus a bit of £$. He'll do in the mean time until Bond comes through....
I am more confident than most that we will sign Kuszczak, although I suspect he will only stay for a year. If playing football is his primary objective then it's a no-brainer. But even if he is solely interested in the money, he needs a full season of good form at a good level before he can realistically expect to earn anywhere near the sort of money he's on now. (so yes, I do think Loach could be heading your way)
He'd be a complete mug to go to Ipswich! They are in turmoil! Take a look at their board, they're all fighting with each other!
After what he did against Bristol City Id be both confused and surprised if your manager went in for Loach.
I know he's keen to play first team football, but surely he doesn't need to drop down to a League One standard?
Ipswich will not sign Tomasz Kuszczak. They have experience of players with Watford associations and in the recent past is not good. Tomas Priskin and Nathan Ellington.
I did read a few comments from Nathan Ellington last week suggesting that he had found it hard to keep fit without getting a regular first team spot. It sounded as if he would be looking for a new club where he could display his undoubted talents.
I read that he wanted to sit down with Jewell to discuss his future. To make him feel comfortable, the discussion will probably take place in familiar surroundings. On a bench.
He has been linked to Ipswich too. If we get TK then I would expect him to hand in a transfer request. Unfortunately for us....I don't see us getting the £2m+ clauses we rejected a year or two ago. Even if TK didn't join us..I wouldn't be against giving Bond a go. Not sure if he's ready....but he's coping with League 1 well at the moment so it's worth a shout. The sale of Loach would give us some extra money to spend elsewhere.
