There is more than luck to this, there cant be things going on in training that are going to aid us in scoring. I saw something from Torres about Rafa regularly giving him tips on where to stand and stuff, sometimes just less than a metre from where he was before and that helped him get goals and in threatening positions and I just dont think anything like that goes on at melwood at the moment
didn't Ian Rush at one time actually help out with our shooting practice? I must confess I do not know our training routine at all but surely it would be ideal to bring someone like him back in?
This game reminds me so much of the Chelsea/Barca game...all the ball, all the chances but can't find the back of the net against a team with 10 people behind the ball. WBA then manage to pull a goal out of nothing. Shame we've been doing this all season and it's nothing new
We must have angered the gods, please all go kill your first born, and please them..... Gypsies curse? I give up?
28 goal attempts, 12 on target and none converted... Didn't even think that statistic would be possible.
Not going to knee-jerk. I thought we were fantastic up until they scored. Hendersons best game for us by a country mile. Carroll faded towards the end, Suarez was a menace all game. Disappointing result but we've been here before, and we know our problems. And they've been exploited yet again today. We should take heart from this match though, decent football along the deck, our finishing just let us down. Again.
Shame. The feeling felt when seeing your team give up after conceding a goal again West Bromich Albion.
