His last game saw us promoted, this next game will see him relegated. Feel a bit sorry for him tbh. He was a good servant to the club and his first start is against Man City.
His first start could have been against man city for us as well and I don't feel sorry for him at all. Though I hope he gets a good reception from the swans when we play them, he played his part that is for sure.
"...his first start is against Man. City", which is what it would have been,Ash, had he not left. Ironic. I will always have a high regard for him. "He was a good servant",and deserves some gratitude, and respect, for his contributions down the years.
"plenty of scope to take the piss". Don't wear yourself out though, keep some for our friends from "the other place". ...
I dont feel sorry for him at all, remember that he would be quite happy to come down here and get us relegated if the boot was on the other foot! so **** him i say, did well for us and i would never give him abuse ,at the same time i would never blow sunshine up his bottom either! He is History and a good part of our History but like many others he made the wrong move, thank god he did mind ,we would be relegated by now if he stayed !!
I will be forever grateful to De Vries , I can't see us being in the Premier without his input . Hope he plays well & has success no matter where he plays in his remaining career
City should have won that by a good four or five goals. Some very hesitant finishing. Now we need to go to Man U and put the cat right amongst the pigeons.
