We did it!! I hope you all enjoy and celebrate healthily. By that I mean get blind drunk and start numerous chants in varied places. I've started with the singing we are the champions in the east dulwich tavern. I am taking requests.
My daughter and I gave the shoppers a chorus of 'The reds are going up' on Calella high street. I must say I was chuffed when she spontaneously broke into song, which wore off when she asked me 'Papi, why do you keep singing that?' Young lady, if only you knew what we've been through the last few years!!!
We are indeed the Champions, & nice of the BBC football league show to give us 30 seconds on there football league program last night. What reason will they have next season to ignore us ? What do we have to do to be "fashionable"
Look at the BBC Sport website front page: Football :Reading clinch Championship title Football ortsmouth drop down after defeat Football i Canio's Swindon secure promotion Football :Newcastle strengthen Champions League Go to the Football page: Premier League Newcastle strengthen Champions League bid Premier League Blackburn win to boost survival chances Premier League Fulham 2 - 1 Wigan Premier League Bolton 1 - 1 Swansea Championship Coventry relegated to League One Championship Southampton made to wait for promotion Championship Portsmouth drop down after Derby defeat Championship Reading secure title despite draw League Two Di Canio's Swindon secure promotion No mention of Charlton and no mention of League 1. What's their problem?
Dan Roan is at the F1 in Bahrain, he seems to be the only BBC sports journo who will report on us "BBC don't like us..... we don't care"
Ted, I for one dont want to be fashionable, but i do want recognition for the achievement of Chris Powell. That the BBC chose to downplay or ignore it reflects the bias shown by the luvvies. These are probably the same luvvies that wasted licence payers money by moving the headquarters and production facility of a national service away from the nations capital and will probably cancel all coverage of non premiership football. Whilst I haven no love for the Murdochs you have to say that the sports coverage on sky reflects the popularity of each sport in the country which goes a long way toexplain their success.
And even then, some of our fans left him with a bit of a bitter taste after he received tons of abuse on Twitter about the takeover, and how he didn't know **** etc etc.
He's a BBC Journo Mary, of course he doesn't know ****..................... but he's the best we've got
