Im one for the irony......I want Sterling to get A game but he will only come on with say 30 to go if we are at least 2 to the good........ Therefore I predict that if Sterling is on the bench we will either draw 1-1 or lose undeservedly 1-0.......(and he wont get on.) If he isnt on the bench, we will win 3-0 and will have missed the oportunity to give him some game time....lol Really looking forward to this one, seems like ages since there has been a game...
Starting to get excited now, desperate to see us win as I have only been at one win so far this season (out of 7 games). Some seasons I would think I was a bit of a jinx but we have been ****e when I havent been there also.
Would like to see Sterling get 25-30 mins also Suso to get some time. Hope Roy gets a decent reception, although a dour miserable so and so. Felt due to the situation he was placed he couldn't win which ever way it panned out. 2-0 Liverpool
We've been let down on numerous occasions at home this year in games I could see nothing but 3 points from...but even so I'm going for a 4-1 win. Probably mis-placed optimism but whats the point in being a footy supporter if you can't be wildly optimistic Suarez hat trick would be nice for my FF team too West Brom have looked good in patches this year but we have played some great football as well despite results. If our strikers/attacking players have gained confidence from the recent cup game and smash and grab raid against Blackburn then a slightly more relxed attiitude may just see us start banging goals in again COYR
Hope Carroll doesn't get dropped to the bench after 2 decent performances and 2 last minute winners in the past week. Agree that it would be ncie to see Sterling get a few mins in the remaining games. Nothing really to play for now and it would mean we could give a few of the more established players a rest ahead of the FA Cup final. I'm going to go all out and predict a 4-0 thrashing. It's about time we hammered a team and West Brom are pretty much safe now so might just been thinking about their summer holidays.
Would like to see two things. 1. We finally score more than 3 goals 2. We win more than 2 league games on the trot, although that can't be done today.
well I am of the opinion guys that we were light on strikers and bellamy filled in decently for now buy him and kuyt need to be replaced for the longer term...
Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Spearing, Henderson, Maxi, Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll Edit; Rumored starting line-up.
Looks like a 4-2-3-1 to me, happy with that setup should be a nice high tempo game. Any ideas on the bench?
No word yet mate, although that is the likely line-up. If Downing and Bellamy are both on the bench I don't see Sterling making it.
Liverpool Team To Face West Brom. Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Kuyt, Spearing, Henderson, Maxi, Carroll, Suarez. SUBS: Doni, Coates, Downing, Carragher, Bellamy, Shelvey, Kelly. No Gerrard in the 18 as Suarez & Carroll start up front. Henderson gets a start in centre midfield and Enrique comes back into defence. No Sterling on the bench. Reina and Doni also come back into the starting 11 and the bench respectively.
Would of perhaps preferred Shelvey in instead of Henderson. Henderson has improved in the last couple of games so that's a pretty strong attacking team. Just might be lacking a bit of creativity in the middle
Sterling would of gained a lot of confidence from just training with the first team, also sends out a positive message to the Academy and Reserves that if you're playing well you will get a chance.
I dont agree with that, he isn't playing reserve football or first team, i can imagine it seems like a bit of a glass ceiling
