Nice one Forever. Tempting though it is to continue getting.bladdered and just give everyone ten out of ten for being champions, my player marks for today are:

Hamer - 9. Solid all day and a couple of crucial saves. Worried me greatly in February. Wanted him dropped. Become a key cog in the machine. Fair play to him. Very passionate celebrations after Carlisle and today. Top man.

Solly - 7. Least impressive game for a a while. But still good. POTY.

Cort. - 9. Immense today I thought. Has become our most impressive centre half.

Morro - 7. Couple of dodgy moments but pretty solid.

Wiggins 7. Power of work. Had a tough time defensively but stuck to the task admirably. Crossing not up to usual standard.

Pritchard - 9. Power of work breaking it all up but also played some good passes. Impressed by him today.

Stephens -5. Four of these are for the goal. Otherwise he was pants. Went backwards so often I thought he was playing for Wycombe. Have always felt he'a a class player but personal jury is now out.

Wagstaff - 5. Tried hard as always but largely anonymous. Poor game. I'd have taken him off and let n'guessan torment Basey. Green would have had a field day today.

Jackson - 7. I thought he was steady and added a calm head. Others around me thought he was poor. I didn't

Kermorgant - 10. What can you say. Immense.

BWP - 5. Poor. Gets paid to score. He should have had four in the first half. His missing one on ones is getting silly now. Tried hard. Some good link up play. But he's not doing his main job at the moment.

    Haynes - 6. Looked dangerous.

For once a referee who wasn't the main talking point. Generally good.

Wycombe - on another day they would have won. Nice on the eye. Hope they and Walsall stay up.

    Thanks Jimbob,

As i said in another thread, if you were to compare Beavon v BWP you would find Beavons conversion rate to be much higher than BWP's. TBH, BWP's 1-on-1 record is shocking, and i would be surprised if he scored 1 in 10.

Good to see Pritchard doing well, after i thought he might be out of his depth in the middle of the season.

Wycombe were a real credit I thought- if they played like that all season then they wouldn't be down there. Definitely deserved a draw, and I hope they get maximum points from the 2 remaining games and stay up.

Beavon(sp) was a real handful. Wouldn't mind a cheeky bid for him in the summer.

    My moot points -

Kermit MOM. His defensive work was so impressive. I love him with all of my heart and soul.

BWP was shocking. How could he not get motivated on a day like today?

The Chairboys should not be in the bottom four on today's showing. Great support, too.

Danny Haynes was the difference between the two sides in the end. Let him play the last two matches, CP!

I admit that I cried like a baby when we were announced as Champions.

Loved seeing CP getting the bumps from the players, and the wonderful groundsmen joining the lap of honour.

Big shout to the North Upper. You guys were fantastic!

    COYR!

Hope we have'nt done for Wycombe after that, as by all accounts they comported themselves like men and just lucked out on our big day.Still, nice to finally have a trophy after years of hurt. Campeones, Campeones, oe oe oe.

Sometimes, football teams don't realise the responsibility they bear. Yesterday, my boss told us if we did'nt want to see the company go bust, we'd have no holidays and no double summer payment this year. Going on the dole in Spain is like going into a black hole. There's no jobs,so after thinking it over, we bitterly renounced holidays for this year. However, cue Charlton and the league title. Suddenly, the smile is back on my face. Thanks for all the videos, and anyone who fancies it can give me a kick upthe backside for choosing to live and work in Spain rather than sunny sounth London.

Reason Wycombe are in the bottom 4 was on display today their defence is truly awful everywhere else decent but at the back was like a sunday league team apart from the keeper whos quality.
Hesitant throughout no understanding between them sort that out and they`d do fine in this league.
Pritchard and cort my 2 best players today

unfortunatly, you may well have sent us down effectively today as we now basically need 2 wins from notts county and sheffield wednesday, who both now have something to play for

He had a bad game, but he was motivated. He chased lost causes and put himself about for headers over and over.

My old man was also fortunate enough to grab a few (tipsy) words with BWP and a few others, and said he spoke about how much it meant to him and his fondness for the club.

I think he has an unfair reputation and this whole "he's not interested" thing has no foundation.

MOM could only have been Yann though. He was doing the midfield job, and helping in defence too. I would have like to change my POTY vote if I could!

I think you are probably right. The fact that the Doc is an automatic choice for them is a strong clue.

I thought Stephens had a poor game, but also thought he was the only man in the middle being disciplined and carrying out his job. Pritchard battles but gets dragged out of possession far too easily and needs to curb his enthusiasm. Far too many times Dale was in the middle on his own, and this is why Wycombe had the lions share of possession.

Very astute analysis super and I have to agree with you, not only about this and BWP, (he may have a peanut head as he puts it but his facial expressions of disinterest deny his enthusiasm. This probably confuses opposition defendersas well.

Finally although I had always had Yann second as my player of the season, I have to say he hasn't had a bad match and on that basis I would also chnage my vote if I could.

I thought Bradders was far from not being motivated, you could see that in how unhappy he was to be taken off. He desperately wanted a goal and the poor goals to chances ratio in 2012 is starting to effect his game -
    http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/Sport.cfm?id=14417&headline=BWP
Instead of just putting chances away he is thinking about things too much and allowing keepers to put doubts in his head.

Let's look at who was after him in January 2011......Chris Powell (Charlton 2012 League 1 Champions) ....... Brian McDermott (Reading 2012 Championship Champions) ....... were they both after a poor player? Isn't Bradders by far our top scorer even with a dramatic loss of confidence since the turn of the year?

Bradders didn't hide yesterday, he put himself around, made chances for others and still took on the responsibility to have a go himself when (more often than not) he created his own chances.

His name was sung loud and proud by NU when he went off, me included. :emoticon-0159-musicBWP is better than Shaun:emoticon-0159-music

I managed to just make it back to the car, Ponders - I think it was the relief as much as anything.

Then I'd just composed myself and set off when Paulo's promotion interview was played on Five Live - should have been a totally wonderful and joyous day for him but the poor sod was distraught and broke down at the end of the interview and I had to pull the car over and wait a while before setting off again.

Bouncing when I got home, lots of texts and e-mails - sat down to watch the News and MOTD and crashed out in the armchair, the end titles woke me up...must be my age. <laugh>
