Well my point is that you are clearly not here for a debate. You are obviously disappointed, like we all are, about the result and are looking to pick a fight. You cannot complain my post has no point when I suggest reasons for your disappointment in Guly in your prior comment and then snap at Dan for apparently misunderstanding you.
This thread certainly shows the bipolar nature of a lot of the posters on here. Oh and Lincoln Saint, man up for Christ's sake
Oh yeah, the Pompey one I forgot, as it was BBC, and so I was trying to think of the Sky moments, when I watch on my phone or in the pub. And sorry, I meant to phrase that draws bit as a question rather than statement, as my mind is a bit of a sieve.
And it's an arguement which I completely and utterly fail to understand. Maybe, maybe if Coventry had the home game and Leicester had the away game, I could possibly begin to understand your argument. But they don't. Coventry will have all of about 500, more 1,000, fans to apparently show some pride to. Leciester will have 20,000+.
Well, that is why I resent the claim that I should be a proper supporter, as I haven't been negative, nor have I said we've or even suggested we've bottled it. I don't fit into b., so I can only assume that said poster is mistakenly identifying me, or is an internal WUM. At least you've come up with a definition, though, which is more than said accuser could.
OK, taking his second hand response as yours, show me where I have said we've bottled it, or in any way said the referee has cost us the game, or even whinged full stop. Also feel free to chuck in any gripes at individual players I've made, including Fonte, Guly, Sharp, or whoever else. Include the manager in that too.
You guys need to kiss and make up, you're ruining this thread for everyone else and you both look like idiots.
Not at all. I never suggested that Steve was the answer so I disputed the suggestion I did. as far as your answer is concerned, perhaps I was being deliberately obtuse, but I read it as a defence of a plate I thought didn't perform. I see what you're saying though and still think that if guly was brought on to play deep it was the wrong choice.
I am interested to see how many people think West Ham will definitely win on Monday. Out of the 17 games West Ham have played on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday their returns are less than 1.5 points per match (one was a cup game). Their record is: Won 6 Drawn 7 Lost 4. Tue 17 Apr Bristol City v West Ham drew 1-1 Mon 9 Apr West Ham v Birmingham drew 3-3 Tue 27 Mar Peterborough v West Ham won 2-0 Tue 20 Mar West Ham v Middlesbrough drew 1-1 Wed 7 Mar West Ham v Watford drew 1-1 Tue 21 Feb Blackpool v West Ham won 4-1 Tue 14 Feb West Ham v Southampton drew 1-1 Tue 31 Jan Ipswich v West Ham lost 5-1 Mon 2 Jan West Ham v Coventry won 1-0 Mon 26 Dec Birmingham v West Ham drew 1-1 Tue 29 Nov Middlesbrough v West Ham won 2-0 Tue 1 Nov West Ham v Bristol City drew 0-0 Mon 24 Oct Brighton v West Ham won 1-0 Tue 18 Oct Southampton v West Ham lost 1-0 Tue 27 Sep West Ham v Ipswich lost 1-0 Wed 24 Aug West Ham v Aldershot lost 2-1 Tue 16 Aug Watford v West Ham won 4-0
I think this needs to have a control too - if we had the same list of when they've played on Saturday or Sunday, we can compare, and see if those results are particularly unusual. But not based on stats, I think there's pretty much equal chance of them drawing or winning. Don't reckon they'll lose. It's certainly not a nailed on win, though.
Reading all the threats a few weeks ago there where a lot of you that suspected a loss today. Now we lose and you are all gutted!!Don't ! Things are still being the same as you where all saying a few weeksa ago: a win against Coventry will promote us !! Thought the team played rather well. They where closing down the opponents and had after our first goal some (little) chances. Ref should have make a normal decision and should have given at least the second yellow card ( he does give Fonte a yellow card....). Still stupid defending of Fonte at that place !! Also a strange thing is though that our midfield is always defending on the 16 yard line and leaving a lot of space for the midfield of the opponent. They often can take a ball, have too much time for shoooting at the goal ! Also todays first goal was caused by that! Those things happen too often the last few weeks. Still very convinced about next saturday. We still play good football and we will win!! Keep confidence !
