Will be a great atmosphere by the sounds of it. It's not often we play in front of 20,000 plus. I have good and bad memories of watching Wycombe in big crowds! Does anyone know how many away tickets are available for this match? I'm going to buy on the door, which I assume will be ok unless Charlton are planning on cutting the away allocation to fit more home fans in for their potential title party. Any ideas?
couldnt agree more js today is gonna be a good day out,the atmosphere good but the result....who knows....this is wycombe after all.the fans will be great again i just hope the players are up for it.COME ON YOU BLUES please log in to view this image
The championship will be very tough next season, that's for sure. Glad to see Charlton moving up but I think consecutive promotions is a very big ask. So the doc is at Wycombe now...!? He was great for us in league one, just prone to grappling players when the ball is in the air and giving away silly free kicks, in a dangerous position. Is he still doing that?
to be honest he has been superb at the back for us ,unfortunately he cant play for us today against his parent club
Another game that summed up our season. Poor defending and silly mistakes yet we missed some great chances to take a point or 3. The back 4 were poor, Johnson and Foster couldn't cope with their front 2 in the air or on the floor. But Charlton let us off the hook with awful finishing and Bull made some great saves. The effort shown by the players today cannot be faulted. But it needs quality to go with it and we had very little of that. Set pieces, ball possession and the final ball were severely lacking. Charlton were there for the taking and the lack of atmosphere for much of the game among their crowd showed how poor they were. But in the end they showed why they're champions and why we're relegation bound. The football aside, it was a great day out and Charlton are a really friendly club. Many congrats to them today.
Magic, I thought you played some good football, don't worry about not being able to handle Kermit, not many L1 defences could do it either. Your fans were a credit, your players played their hearts out, your manager had a good gameplan BUT this was our day. Not sure what your boys could have done more? this just seemed to be our day. The very best of luck for next season, with luck L1, if not them a bounceback season in L2. What happened to that 15 year old you had at the start of the season? I know Manure were after him, did you have to sell? If so that a great pity... one or two seasons with you and I understand he could be some player.
gutted not to have got a result today, thought we played some really good football and were on top for parts of the game. the fans and the players efforts were a credit to the club and only 2 poor defensive moments cost us (must be said though, what a free kick!). well done to charlton, genuinly enjoyed my day there and i hope they can push on from here
Thought you were very unlucky today. Played some lovely stuff. Hope you stay up. Rocky - enjoyed your banter on our board this season. Hope to see you pop in now and again next year. Good luck boys.
