    Please... no excuses.

Even if he goes on to score a hat-trick in the second half, he has shown in the first half what the majority of supporters have seen for the whole season.

He is not good enough for Arsenal FC

Let him improve somewhere else (loan/whatever), we can't afford to lose valuable points just to get a player back to form. Chelsea had to do that with Torres, but they paid 50m for him, what's our excuse?

Let Song play a deeper role, and Oxo (or even Benny when he's back) instead of Ramsey.

The "excuse" is that he's still better than Diaby. So he's playing there.

diaby WILL get injured in less than 20 minutes. coquelin will probably also get injured due to only just having recovered from a fairly long term absence. and every time ramsey has lost the ball, he has worked hard to win it back, and in most cases has done just that.

and diaby is terrible at dilly-dallying on the ball if you remember his play from when he's off form. which he will be.

Song has given the ball away more times than I can keep track of.

  6. Song has with his passing, but Ramsey has been caught in possession more often - and in dangerous positions.

its funny, most people dislike ramsey for losing possession all the time, but you're the only one I know who's really against song in that sense.

Ramsey and Song have been dispossessed six times in this game.

    Hmm.

Not pulling off the right pass is one thing, losing possession in your own half and setting the opposition team for an attack is another.

  10. Well you've posted enough here for everyone to know you don't know what you are talking about, but I'll still correct you <ok>

    Ramsey:

Dispossed whilst in possession : 4
Turned the ball over through poor first touch : 1

    Song :

    same stats 3 and 1.

    Pass accuracy :

    Song 84%
    Ramsey 97%

Averages for the season per game:

Ramsey (dispossessed 2.8, turned over through poor first touch 1.7)
    Song (1.5 and 1)

    Passing accuracy this season:

    Ramsey 87.4%
    Song 84.7%

So as i said, Ramsey loses possession more through poor control and getting robbed of the ball, but less so than Song through poor passes.

Some of us know what we are talking about when we post and have actually done our homework <ok>

Others, like youself, talk **** <ok>

Maybe you could tell the board why you posted some made up ****???

I saw Song do that too.
Ramsey had a very good second half
So next time if you are going to say Ramsey is crap because he loses the ball then I hope you include Song in that statement as well

  12. See post above <ok>

Also, when it comes to creativity and tackling, Song blows Ramsey away this season.

You simply can't compare the two - Song has been far more effective this year.

Song's passing is awful - at least Ramsey doesn't continually pass the ball to the opposition.

Losing possession is bad but you rely on your teammates to tell you that you have man on sometimes. Ramsey has an array of passing at least. Song just kicks the ball to the opposition. The pass late on in the game when he strode away from defence on the break .. then tried to play a Hollywood pass instead of a simple pass to the wide player <doh>

  14. Yes Ramsey is a better passer than Song overall, though Song is the most effective player in the league in terms of playing the ball through to a forward to have a chance at goal - though he does try quite a few of them.

I agree Song gives the ball away too often but he often is the one to give the killer pass, which is why we still need a creative midfielder.
Looking back though Chavski were better we had the better chances especially the one song gave to Robin where he tried shooting with his right instead of cutting inside and shooting with his left

  16. Song actually doesn't give the ball away anywhere near as much as Ramsey, and you are right about the killer pass. Here's the PL leaders for accurate through balls per game:

    1 Alexandre Song Arsenal 0.7
2 David Silva Manchester City 0.5
    3 Luka Modric Tottenham 0.5
4 Robin van Persie Arsenal 0.4
    5 Charlie Adam Liverpool 0.4
    6 Frank Lampard Chelsea 0.4
7 Yaya Touré Manchester City 0.4
    8 Juan Mata Chelsea 0.4
    9 David Luiz Chelsea 0.4
10 Samir Nasri Manchester City 0.3
11 Rafael van der Vaart Tottenham 0.3
    12 Tomas Rosicky Arsenal 0.3
    13 Didier Drogba Chelsea 0.3
    14 Andrey Arshavin Arsenal 0.3
15 Ryan Giggs Manchester United 0.3
    16 Clint Dempsey Fulham 0.3
    17 Luis Suárez Liverpool 0.3
18 Adel Taarabt Queens Park Ran... 0.3
    19 Angel Rangel Swansea 0.3
    20 Gareth Bale Tottenham 0.3

did u guys see ramsey's song-esque chip over the top to RVP that he shinned high and wide?

    #18
  19. Yeah, Arshavin was a lazy ****, but he did actually have an eye for a through ball.

  20. Yes, good pass, but rare for Ramsey unfortunately.
