I've had enough of watching the National team, i am as patriotic as they come, however the world cup last year, and the so called investigation that the FA were going to do into what went wrong was quite frankly diabolical. The likes of Lampard and Rooney claim to be fiercely patriotic but i've had enough of them just turning expecting to win without putting any graft into it.

There has been something fundamentally wrong in the whole set up of the England National team for many many years, and just disposing of Capello will not solve the problem.

If someone shows pride, passion and hunger i will support them like i do Sunderland, but until that time i'm not bothered, and besides when the international match is on the golf course is a lot quieter

The man in charge of England is not what is is supposed to be. His track record does not stand close inspection. His Italian clubs were done for match fixing and his Spanish club only won the league because of the crazy system used there.

I can understand people being disappointed there wont be a full strength England side, but did they really expect one versus Ghana?? No disrespect to Ghana but it was always going to be a weak England side unless we were playing brazil or Germany. Complaining about it is a bit like complaining that audley harrison didnt last long v Haye, its never gong to happen. I think the bigger issue is more the amount of meaningless friendlies england play, devalueing the honour of an england cap by selecting players who should get no where near the england shirt, but are capped just to make upe numbers

I seem to recall after the debacle of the world cup it was said we needed change. Personally I would never ever have put most of them in an England shirt again, and that inc JT stevie g, ash cole, lampard etc.

Put the younguns in. We may do well or utter ****e in the euros but give them time to gel for the main event the world cup.

1 Ghana were the 4 best team at the world cup
    2 England came nowhere
3 meaningless friendlies how do you gel as a team if you don't play together
4 why shouldn't Welbeck get an England shirt he a lot better than some of the dross picked
5 England should insure and pay for injuries caused whilst playing for them why should the club suffer when they get no revenue for their own player

I'd rather England played the 'ressies' every friendly. We know what Cole, Terry etc are capable of, these should be used to find those who could make a difference.

Bill, maybe I was a bit unfair mate so sorry for that.

You missed a cracking game, best I have seen for a long, long time and I think the way our Ghana lads played will have done them good and will have them all fired up for the weekend.

Well, I think there were a number of players out there; -Wilshere, Young, Cahill and Downing all had good games and should get a chance again
    Answer SOME.

Representing your national team is an honour that most players dream of - are you saying people should be denied this, because they have a game 5 days later? Does that make them too knackered? Are they not professional sports players? Did you not play when you were younger - playing a full 90 minutes and then playing again 2-3 days later, it was expected ...

As for the original post - it seems your lack of insight, ignorance and general stupidity knows no bounds

are we all still ****ed off? personally i think the games was a cracker and made more exciting and enjoyable by the changes made. Capello is useless but hopefully last night gave him something to think about, and made him realise his prima donnas are not the way forward. Ghana would have probably beaten the nancy boys

Actually the original post was all of the above, including irritating.

It was a friendly, all teams put out experimental sides for these games and national coaches have an opportunity to trial new players in front of a big stage. It would be a wasted opportunity to field a 'full strength team'.

oh ...so it seems you do not agree with the OP, or did you get confused a bit?

Being obtuse doesn't make you right bonny lad.

I stand by everything I wrote, none of which is self contradictory, try reading the last quote of mine you posted and you will find only one of us confused.

It was a friendly for **** sake.

Time to experiment and try out new tactics and players.

The "big" names like Lampard and Terry are getting long in the tooth, and will not be able to play in 2014/2016. Cappelo should be building for the future, and giving the young lads experience at the expense of the "big" names is allright with me.

Aye mate a friendly, but no surprise that Gyan and the rest of the Ghanains being disappointed they weren't up against the likes of Rooney and Co.

they should be happy now, as the new look england team gave them more of a match than the old knackered lot would have.
wonder how our africans felt when wellbeck came on? oh he's not a big enough name to play against. dont think so
