I'm voting SNP. Labour are liars, the LibDems are attrocious and the Tories would probably get my vote if it weren't for Annabel Goldie. Anyway, I've been impressed with the SNP led administraton since they came in and they don't need to answer to their big brothers down south. PS, if anyone creates a party that soul aim is to get rid of the NHS, I'd vote for them. Cheers
Is Sean Connery still telling the Scottish electorate how they should be voting from his luxury villa in Switzerland, or the Bahamas or wherever the **** he lives these days?
I not heard a peep out of him for a while, he must be rehersing for his next role as a german with a scots accent or a english king with a scots accent or a spanish nobend with a scots accent.
You actually have two votes: - constituency MSP - regional MSP There's also a referendum taking place the same day on AV voting for Westminster elections.
I'm voting SNP in it, but would normally vote conservative. SNP won't introduce tuition fees, which is good for me because I'll be going to uni either this year or next If they do a referendum for Scottish independance then I'll vote against it
I'd vote for Independance. We'd benefit from it IMO. We'd be in a better position to attract top companies with lower taxes. But ask me next week and my opinion will have changed again.
What would you replace the NHS with ya prick, a ******ed x3 the cost American system? Despite all the criticism it gets it's the single best aspect of the British state. Once you've lived somewhere else and the ****s keep raping you every time your kid needs some cough medicine you'd appreciate it.
This. In the Netherlands, everyone is legally bound to take out private health insurance. A basic, no frills policy without even paying for your dental bills is over 100 euros/month.
People slag off the NHS but it's the envy of many countries around the world. It's the usual drip, drip of negative news from the likes of the Daily Mail and Telegraph that gives the impression that it's a badly run service when in reality it's a fantastic service.
****ing bite me you ginger prick. The NHS is a ****ing shambles, a corrupt ****ing mess of an 'Institution' with some of the worst health 'care' in the developed world. Waste in the NHS, overpaying for drugs, construction, bent consultants etc. It's a ****ing joke, and the worst part of it is that there is no other choice. Any any other walk of life, you get a choice, if you don't like a particular service, then you can change, but not in 21st Century Britain. *Go to Bupa then* fine, but I want ã300 worth of NI contributions to be cancelled out of my Tax(that I don't pay). I don't doubt that there are excellent services within the NHS, but for the most part it is a putrid, corrupt and inept organistation and is a testament to a depressed post war nation looking for a new world role. Food = ****e Infectious Diseases = Get thme for free on the NHS Huge pension blackhole = 10 years time Operation backlog = of course ****e service = welcome to Britain. Bent Consultants = Literally scores of them in Glasgow alone. I know that you've personally probably been indebted to the NHS through your personal circumstances, as have I with my daughter when she was a tot, but I'm seeing the other side of their incompetance just now through the ill-health of an elderly relative. ITS A SSSHHHHAMMMBLLLESSS!! **** the NHS **** the ****e Nurses **** the ****e Food **** the ****ing lot of them
Is it ****, it's ****e and corrupt. Socialism doesn't ****in work!! Free health care for the poor, I'm sure middle class chaps like yourself could afford to pay ã30 health insurance, as could 80% of Britons IF it meant you saved on your NI contributions.
Edge, you're talking pish NHS is a great service run by incompetents Same as pretty much any establishment anywhere, it's run by people who care about number 1 It's constantly understaffed, with pretty much all workers getting unsustainable workloads. I can tell you first hand thats the case, seeing as my girlfriend is a nurse and I volunteer and will do occasional shifts to help out.
http://liberalconspiracy.org/2009/08/14/uk-v-usa-the-basic-healthcare-facts/ The Yank's public health system costs them about 3 times per person what the NHS cost and only covers 25% of their population. It may be corrupt, it may be bloated, but it still working much better and cheaper than any other state health service I've came across.
