It is unbeliveable how much of a joke this has become. Listening to a clown on talksport at the moment and all he does is lay into arsene and the arsenal. I am sick of the bs coverage we get and the fact it costs us referee decisions ALOT. Refs are scared giving fergies team bad decisions because he is seen as credible by the media and can therefore blast refs. Wenger the media just laugh at and heckle. It is an absolute joke. Sick of it. We dont dive. We dont cheat. We dont park the bus. We dont rely on a rich owner. We dont spend beyond our means. We are strong in the community. We dont condone disgusting actions of our players and fans. We basically are football club you would think nobody could hate. But the media do hate us and its just a disgrace. /end rant
Talksport - Just Say No! It causes needless irritation and it doesn't even reflect the true opinions of the actual presenters spouting that bollocks. They are professional WUMs whose livelihood depends on people phoning in to their ****e programmes.
You think the media are anti-Arsenal? Try being a Chelsea fan. Win 5-1 at Wembley yet all the media can talk about is 1 of the goals which might not have crossed the line, all post-match talk about that goal nothing said about the performance. But it's obviously a ploy as they don't want to show how inept and overrated 'Arry is as a manager so he still gets the England job. Beat the best club side in the world 1-0 and all the media can talk about is what an injustice it was and how lucky we were despite having a gameplan, dogged defence and only committing 10 fouls which was only 1 more than they committed.. Called a crisis-club despite being in contention for a top 4 finish and in the Final of the FA Cup and semi of the CL and cheated out of a CC SF. For what it's worth I have always thought the media were anti-Arsenal but not as much as they are anti-Chelsea. Media have always had a tendency to favour northern clubs + West Ham & Spurs.
Well district I disagree with most of that. Although it is obvious the media darlings are: 1, Man utd 2, Spuds 3, Loserpool 4, West Ham 5, Newcastle
Why do Arsenal fans still listen to talkSPORT? It must be well known that Durham hates Arsenal and the fact that Arsenal fans call in, giving them 10p or whatever it is a minute, amazes me. Just don't listen to him. He talks ****e anyway.
Fans of all clubs think the media hate their club or do not cover events fairly when it has to do with their club. Complaining about specific hosts/journalists is fine, but generalizing this topic and playing the victim card all the time is kind of pathetic IMO.
Some complete idiots on talksport at the moment. The presenter is just a complete muppet. They are all agreeing that our fans are to blame for accepting not challenging! Planks!
When Wenger first came into English football he was critical of the old school attitude towards some things in the game. (drinking culture etc..) He has criticised several managers for playing 'long ball football' (rightly in my opinion) and has strong footballing ideals of his own. He has always been unfairly criticised since he first arrived on this shores.
I have to say that Arsenal and Wenger get far more bad press than others, we get vilified, Chelsea don't get anywhere near as much as us. Wenger has had to put up with a lot from the media, they take the piss. Dunno why people listen to Talksport, I never have and never will, all I hear are complaints about them.
Well the media are dominated by Manchester United fans. Arsenal were their main rivals for several years. We're bound to be hated for all the victories we had over them during the Vieira years.
I disagree with this strongly. It similar to the "luck evens itself out, so we shouldn't complain about Utd getting unfair decisions" cliche. These are just sentences rolled out to try and explain why the world is fair - when it is not.
Spot on again Jayram. I remember all the **** Chelsea and Arsenal got early on the season and yet we were the only 2 English side to progress through the CL groups. When the Manc clubs dropped into Europa all of a sudden that became a bigger and better competition and was advertised extensively. I wasn't even aware Arsenal were playing Milan in the 1st leg until the day before when there was a small advertisement. If Chelsea or Arsenal had been 13 points clear of 4th place and the teams currently around them then lost 5-1 at Wembley as well as 5-2 to their biggest rivals I am certain the media would be vociferous in their vitriol towards us. I still haven't forgotten how the media treated Ranieri when he couldn't speak English and how OTT they went when Arsenal went mental at OT. Nobody is going to tell me: Spurs get as much bad press as Arsenal West Ham get as much bad press as Millwall Fulham get as much bad press as Chelsea United get as much bad press as City WBA get as much bad press as Wolves
And you can bet that these clubs' fans won't agree which of their clubs is getting the worse of it. Just saying the discussion is pointless.
