it bugs me that managers cant critiscise officials - why the hell not???? during the game the ref is sacrosant (yeah baby) but after if he has had a howler?? too right managers should be allowed to critiscise performances - not the man of course but his performance and lets be honest - every single one does it - butcher is the worst for it
I don't mind the two match ban, it's the inconsistency that gets on my nerves. What about Terry Butcher earlier in the season? What he said was considerably worse than what Lennon said. And yet no action taken. And what about Kenny Shiels? He said "I hope we get a strong referee" which was almost verbatim what Lennon said. Difference is, Lennon gets hauled up for it but nothing happens to Shiels. It's things like that that annoy fans.
We went out all cup competition due to injury time penalty decisions going against us , No manager in the world would accept it , well maybe Tony Mowbray would !!!
I am waiting for an apology from the SFA to our manager and to the Celtic players. Neil Lennon has got the most vicious sentence in the history of the Scottish game for telling the truth. Does the SFA want him to become like Ally, the butcher boy, mcCall Browne etc and become aliar .
Name: Neil Lennon, Celtic FC Match: Rangers v Celtic (Scottish Premier League) - 25th March 2012 Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached: Rule 203. Outcome: The Tribunal imposed no further sanction on the basis that the half-game served outwith the technical area was sufficient SFA Rules state: Rule 203: Sanctions available to Tribunal: Lower End: 2 match suspension Mid Range: 8 match suspension Top End: 16 match suspension Maximum: One year suspension (all football) So how did the SFA come up with a Half game ban? There are 2 possible explanations. 1: There was actually no case to answer, probably because someone (maybe a Referee) was telling porky pies. 2: The SFA are “Running Scared” of Celtic. It must be the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] option because we know that Referees never lie about incidents in a match and officials would never think of trying to cover each other's backs.
Trevor, we proved last year , the refs, linesman , head of referees and sfa were all out to get Celtic . have you forgotten about Dougiegate already ???
NO. UEFA are clear in their policies/guidelines, any team which takes it's home football authority to court risks an even heavier punishment. Sion for example.
If he gets a hefty ban that carries over into next year, he should liquidate himself and reform as Neil Lennon 2012 thereby escaping all punishment Apologies if this gag has been done.
Only time I was disappointed with Lennon was at Ibrox , the time he spat on the Hun scarf , think he should have wiped his ar£e with it as well !!!
