Going back to the OP and what Rooney was told.Does he not realise that Wayne Rooney has an IQ of 2 and has a brain the size of a pea,and if you told him that the moon was made of cheese,he would believe you.I would be worried. They would have to convinced someone with more brains than Shrek.Every man and his dog knows Shrek is thick. They are very lucky that it was him that threw his toys out of his cot as he can be easily pacified.Offer him money and he will forget what he said.

Forget Rooney in this situation as we all know he did not write that statement because as you said he is as thick as it gets and that was proven with the lack of erm in the statement. It was him and his agent who spoke to the Glazers. I would call his agent a very clever man for the millions he has helped Wayne get since him time at Everton and of course him pocketing a bit himself <ok>

The only reason you lot don't like Rafa Benitez is because he stood up to the Govan Overlord. How dare he.If any of the other managers in the premier league showed the same self respect and dignity,it would be far better. Most of the managers pull down Fergusons pants and his boxers and kiss his bare arse.Thats just pathetic and spineless.

It wasn't Benitez that won you the title. There was other people involved.Steve Bruce when Wigan manager when he told his wigan players to play well in the first half and then to lose the game in the 2nd.It was a deal struck between Dave Whelan and Whiskeynose, that if Wigan threw the game,Ferguson would pay over the odds for Antonio Valencia.
Then there is Howard Webb who gave a non penalty against Spurs.

Why on Earth would he do that? Why would he want them to play well for a half and poorly in the second. That would look more suspect than if he just told them to play badly for 90 minutes. There is no logic to what you are suggesting. Also, why would the Wigan players go along with this and why do we still always beat them, even though Bruce is gone? A lot of unanswered questions here.

Then there is Howard Webb who allowed Adebayor to score with his hand against Man United on one occasion and failed to send off Palacios for a two footed lunge at Ronaldo against Spurs.

Agreed. KPR isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
