I don't think any of us know where his money comes from, including the rich list. He claims to have a substantial family trust to draw on, but we are unlikely to find out what that is worth.
How rich is Elton John? I know he is not owner anymore but he didn't really invest in us to the extent that he could have done...
Would there be any of our players who could truthfully wear a shirt branded 'Virgin', and if there were, would they want to? Funny how, in the source of wealth column, the words 'tax evasion' don't appear anywhere.
Ai, it's not relevant now AK. However, when he ws here many moons ago he never put his £$ into the club in the way he could have done. Still who does....
I'd prefer the club to be debt-free but I'd rather we didn't have a rich owner. They almost always arrive with an agenda of their own and have been known to destroy the ethos of clubs which were historically rooted in the local community.
