Murphy and Ashdown jump out but what about if we're looking at the wrong league... Jussi... ... home coming for Robinson? Although both of them you'd imagine would get a PL club. Edit: Just a thought theres a player at Wolves we've looked at before.
We had Chris Kirkland last season. He got injured in his first training session and when he did play he was crap
Kirkland is not a keeper I suspect many fans thought we would be after - which raises the point about who else Barmby wants to sign. As has already been said if we can have 2 perm keepers that is reassuring - as personally (I know finances dictate) I prefer all the regular first teamers to be non-loanees. If the names mentioned in the article are correct then I would be happy and Kirkland is virtually certain to be number 1 next season
I think you could do alot better then Kirkland. He is one of the worst keepers we have had in a long time. He seemed scared of diving or coming out incase he gets injured. I think you should try and nick someone like Stephen Henderson off Pompey or just loan a keeper again
I cant see him coming down to the championship. Class player, we had him on loan a few years back and wanted to sign him but Bolton went in for him. I would love him back here and im sure Nigel would. In the unlikely case he did come to the championship Bolton would want a decent fee. The only down side with him is he is quite injury prone
First of all you were not right. You need to do better research before posting. Read James Corden again. But i am happy to admit i was wrong when i am and do so. 2nd, Until Kirkland is a confirmed signing then the argument is pointless and indeed futile. I also remember when we signed Basso that some thought it a bad move. He did very well for us until his tendonitis kicked in. I have not ruled out Vito just yet. There are always deals to be done so never say never.
Totally agree with you on ^^^^^^ this. But as i posted before any deal that may/does happen will surely be a pay as you play OR on much smaller wages (due to his injury record). IF and i know its a massive IF,,, Kirkland can stay fit and healthy for any period of time we have got one of the best keepers in the country. But again until its a 100% certain and signed up everything else is pointless,, for now at least.!!! From what ive seen of the 2 mentioned Eldin Jakupovic would be my preferred choice to start games. Chris Kirkland played in the sky live game for Doncaster v. TWS back in October and that was it i think ? Injured again.
Would that be Matthew Gilks the Blackpool keeper who is out of contract i think in the summer ? Of course there failure to go up would need to happen first.
Yes indeed - spot on mate. Thank you so much. I am surprised that Ricardo did not understand fully that point either. Kirklands past injuries do mean nothing IF he stays fit for us. But for now this whole debate is futile as he has yet to put pen to paper. As for Jakupovic not being announced, maybe City want to do a day when a few signings are announced ? just saying like.
I think I've just guessed who it is and if it's dependant on his current club being relegated, I suspect he might be available by Saturday night.
Just a guess, but I know Nick's a fan and he hasn't played a single league game for Wolves this season.
