Ghilas and Oli have no future at the club, McShane is expected back in the summer, according to Nick.

Let's hope Palace decide they want Macca, so we can complete the set.

But why should he leave for a fraction of what we pay him? Simple, he wont so our only option is we pay the difference in his wages offered elsewhere and then we barely benefit.

What a ruddy disastrous signing he was, but I still kind of feel for the bloke. Certainly not in the Jimmy Bull5h1t league.

Reims are paying almost half of Ghilas wage at the moment and he only has a year left on his contract, it wouldn't cost us that much to pay him off now, if we'd have to pay him off at all(they are about to get promoted too).

Who will take Oli off us though?

EDIT: I thought Barmby was a fan.

The Premier League hangover has been a long and expensive one.

These are great weights to cast off, so long as we can.

but do we have a good chance of removing olifinidarntackle , ghilas and mcshane off the wage bill that is the question.

go a long way towards being self suffiecient or however you spell it with these 3 off the books.

It's the first time Nick has confirmed that Oli isn't in his plans.

Impressed initially in training, has progressed since and ultimately not the type of player we are looking for.

This is more than just a hangover.
This is on a par with waking up the following morning, stinking of sick, possibly not yours?, in a place you don't recognise, greeted by a huge gay bloke, whilst nursing a headache bad enough it could drop a Rhino and a gaping, bloody Ringpiece!!
All in all, it was baba!

What would be new is your admitting that Brown/Duffen/Bartlett bequeathed us such a pile of merde!

The thing now is, as they only have one year left if we send them out on loan and pay half their wages, we're still freeing up £8-10k a week (each time) to spend on a player who is in our plans. You can get a good player for that at this level, and because if they go on season long loans it would take them to the end of their contracts we can actually make the signings of their replacements permanent ones. We don't need to worry about what we're going to do next summer when they come back and we're responsible for their whole wage again, because when they come back it'll be for a couple of weeks and then the other £8-10k comes off the wage bill as well.

Hopefully Sheff Wednesday will come up and Jones will look to Oli to help him transform Megson's squad into one that he wants, and Reims will come back in for Ghilas. Even if it's loans on half their wages I'd be happy with it as we could bring in 2 or 3 players for that saving.

Of the three high earners, like NB I would take Macca back - he can play RB and CB and at this level is a decent CB whilst Hobbs is out. I wouldn't want to pair either Cooper or Bradley with Chester at the start of the season thats for sure.

If Macca seeks a permanent move Gerrard is the best bet for me...

Fair points, but I think it would be better if we could get rid this summer. Not only would it free up all of their wages, but we may get a little bit of money to put in the transfer kitty?

Their wages may free up money for transfers but I wouldn't have thought we would be demanding a fee for their exit
