As a story on the official website of Liverpool owners New England Sports Ventures says: "The shoe features the signature LFC red on the outsole and 18 league championship trophies on the bottom." This guy didn't put any money into the deal, he was granted equity as an "ambassador". Much of the takeover was based on success in the US which is why the poor league performance is such a disaster. The US fans won't give a **** about this basketball player being some kind of stakeholder in the club unless they're challenging for major trophies which seems a long way away.
