Sure it might take a big bid but I really think he could fill the void that has been in our cm since flamini. We need someone to play that anchor role and he would be perfect imo. Erm, no thanks. He has been out for the whole season with a ACL and you never fully tell how a player recovers from an injury like that. Also, I do not rate him anyway, plus Liverpool will not sell to us. M'Vlla, all the way. And if the reports are true, then he is the man we are targeting.
Well medical treatment has moved on alot recently so usually people come back fine from ACL injuries but I take your point It is definatly an area that needs addressing. I hope wenger doesnt dodge the issue.

Well wenger went on record as saying song offers alot and that they dont tell him to sit. That was last year. Wenger thinks it can be more of a "casual" postion where whoever is there fills into the holding role. I worry about this and think it is wrong. If we get someone who plays that deep role then wenger will play him and he will sit because wenger will play to his strengths. It will force wengers hand almost

Nowt wrong with Lucas if you want someone disciplined enough to sit in his position protecting the back four and doing the simple stuff well. He's not a world beater but he's incredibly reliable. Personally I'd rather have Arteta who seems to be doing exactly the same thing as Lucas but can offer a bit more going forward.
I hate Lucas !! I think he is so ****. You know my feelings for Song, my feelings for Lucas are far worse. Maybe I have been a bit harsh on Song, I mean, I don't actually think he is a bad player at all, I just don't think he is good enough to start, he'd be a good squad player but not a mainstay in midfield. The fact that we look rubbish when he doesn't play only makes one aware how bad a midfield we have with at times. But I'd take Song any day of the week before Lucas !!!!!
Mate thats the thing. We already have the quality. We need a work horse to balance the team because afterall its a team game. Lucas is bad but he knows he is bad so he just sits there and does a good job (making him good ) We need someone like this. Who you would never dream of saying "Get forward son" too, and who has the disapline to do a good defensive job
