Somebody gave me an update on Cairney's injury last night, but I'd had a few watching the Chelsea game and I can't remember a word they said. A bit annoying, as I'm pretty sure they told me about someone we were in for too.
Cairney has a bruised bone, definitely no break, he even has an outside chance of being fit for Saturday(though it's unlikely).
I can't remember who it was, I haven't actually spoken to the person I was talking to last night yet, the Cairney info came from today's press conference.
Why risk TC with Mckenna available.? A Shame though as TC is now getting going at this level at last.
Given the league situation, anyone who's got even a tiny concern over them injury wise should not be getting played unless they're playing for a contract for next year (eg Garcia), trying to prove they're worth a place next season (any fringe players Barmby hasn't made his mind up about but have contracts), or is being put in the shop window to try and sell them.
"He's got plenty of stick for coming off on a stretcher with bone bruising - and rightly so." Barmby on Cairney
