come out and say so then in.....the football media seem to think there is and quite frankly its their job to investigate these stories .....why would they all be writing these stories if there were nothing in it....and dont think its to sell papers as thats rubbish when it concerns just us and spurs.....
As I see it: Harry Redknapp MAY become England manager. If he does, Brendan Rodgers MAY be in the frame to take over at Tottenham (there may have been contact, who knows). Why would Brendan say he'll definately be at Swansea next season if there's a POSSIBILITY he won't. As I said yesterday, saying nothing just keeps all his potential options open.
How is he showing disrespect ? Do you want him to leave now as he may be in the frame for the spurs job ? What happens if in fact he is not being considered ?
Dai - is "why would the media talk about this, it can't be just to sell papers?" a real question?! Do you realise about half of the "insider rumours" they print come off messageboards and forums not unlike this one? The media are as clueless as us a lot of the time and put 2 and 2 together to get £45mil + goal bonuses, but I still think there could be something in it. As has been said, if he is definitely going to be here next season, why hasn't he once talked about something he is going to do for next season? It's always been "my focus until the end of the season...", "the goal now is to finish as high as we can" etc etc, but I've not heard him say anything which made me think "maybe these rumours are bollocks", whereas I've heard plenty which suggest to me he's keeping his options open. If he goes cloak and dagger style, he'll go down massively in my estimation, but I'm still holding out hope that I, and countless others, turn out to be doubting ninnies and completely wrong.
Why do they it ? Simple it sells papers, that is why they are in out of court when people sue them, these stories have nobody actually saying anything, it's speculation and they appear to have hooked you, so you go and buy the paper the next day to see if there is more. I ignore and never buy papers as half the stuff they print is crap and the rest lies.
you'd be surprised how little thought 'journalists' put into these articles: 1) rodgers is flavour of the month + 2) harry redknapp will be next england manager = rodgers for spurs.....
I had a problem at work many years ago and a journalist was present during the incident. The article appeared in the News of the World (even though it wasn't THAT kind of story) and it bore little resemblance to anything that had actually happened. It was a nothing incident that wasn't even newsworthy but was built up by the journo to be something it wasn't just so he could sell it to the paper (he was freelance). He even quoted me directly when I had never said anything of the sort. As we've seen with the recent inquiry if they can't find a story they make them up to sell papers. Scum of the earth.
If he's off in a the summer, why is he spending £200,000.00 on refurbishing his house? and his daughter who is in a Llanelli comprehensive, has two years left, and loves it there! You lot are like a gaggle of old Cockle women, and Dai give over will you! Biggest load of codswallop I've heard in a long time!.....................
His daughter is in a private school in Llanelli (St Michaels, I believe) actually not a comprehensive, but your point is valid
I'm aware she's in the St Michaels senior school aswan, to me comp and senior are the same thing! just the way I personally look at the titles!...................
There's nothing to stop Dad working in London and popping home from time to time though, is there? P.S. A comprehensive school is a state school.
The papers also reported finding a bus on the moon a few years back , just another rag trying justify their existance .Paper sales are falling through the floor and when they do disappear there will be a few more on the dole .(can't come quick enough for me)
if everything is true what you say then he should have no problem coming out and saying so. we have a right to know and i think most of you will look silly with you saying he is spending money on his gaff (how would you know the exact amount dragon) and his kid is settled in a saucepan school ......i think there will be many on here with egg on their faces when the season finishes........ill say again if there is nothing in it then come out and say so and assure the fans that he is not going to leave us in the lurch like ivor said, someone is telling porkies in the papers and it can only be one of two parties........WHO is what we want to know....
We have no right to know Superswan as we don't own or run the club, and I don't think that even they know. The club is what we support, when Brendan goes it makes little difference as its still the club we support. You are asking the impossible and there is no answer to these questions until the situation arises, nobody will have egg on their faces as nobody is making predictions as nobody knows what is going to happen in two months time.
Dai, what exactly do you want the club to tell us? Harry is still in charge and the papers are stating that buck is a favourite to take over. It's pure speculation and there is no point in the club telling us what we aleeady know.
