Morning all from a very wet and damp Gloucester :( So much for getting into the garden and cutting the grass, just wish I had done it Monday when the weather allowed it! That will learn me;)

Morning all from a very damp West West London - no doubt there will be floods this week-end whilst the hose-pipe ban is still in place!

Looking forward to Posh away and another day out with the chaps..

Morning all same story here, wet and miserable. How did your day go Yesterday W_Y after so little sleep and I should think a little hangover.

I feel sorry for those that don't drink because when they get up in the morning that's the best they're going to feel all day. <cheers>

Chas - It was a very long day. I got in early to clear my daily back-up and also found that I had a candidate to interview at 16.00, so could not slip out early. Drive home was ****e and I had to go to MK first to go to Costco to order some food and pick-up some essentials - so I did not get home until 19.30!
Up again early this morning as I had a load of photo's to print off and it have to do it when it's quiet in the office - still I have a quiet day today so will get some recovery done!

Morning all, sunshine and showers here today so my grass cutting is also on hold.

Last night had to go to a commune meeting over the drainage system, or lack of it, in the area. There is no main drainage as such, everyone should have a septic tank, although it is well known that many do not and do not have the space to put one even if they could afford it. Every household in France has to be inspected and our turn is coming up next month. We do have a septic tank of a fairly unconventional type which works perfectly well, but if the inspectors do not like it we have no where else to put one. The inspection covers grey water from the kitchen and the use of grease traps. Once again I have one, so should be alright on that, but I think I maybe the only house in our hamlet that does have one.

I believe that inspectors have to be without a sense of smell to do the job, I just hope that they have a sense of humour. ;)

Thanks for the coffee ak, it will wash the smell down.

Dull and grey here too...how boring! After just two days away, the diet has suffered a setback, and i'm out for dinner tonight..disaster! Need to get back on track asap...!

A fairly busy day ahead so better get going...look forward to seeing you later! Have a great morning :)

Night all. Just had people round for dinner. The arrangement was that they would come tomorrow night but they decided to change the date at the last moment and hoped it wasn't inconvienient. The fact that they are vegans didn't make things any easier.

Got graduation tomorrow so I will have to dress up. For some reason ex-students want to be photographed with me.

One of my mates suggested going to Posh in fancy dress as it was last away game of the season - I suggested going as a drunk away fan, like I normally do!

Blimey, inconvienient vegans - what a combination. I just hope they were not teetotallers as well! Still I suppose it could be worse, they could be incontinent vegans!

Afternoon all. Its been wet wet wet up here!! It has only just stopped raining the moment we walked in from doing the parcels. <grr> I got completely soaked!!! Im just glad i took a towel with me. Some people seem to think that because they are sat in the warm that i will be warm and cozy and happy to wait on their door step for 5mins for them to open the door. :headbang:

Charley the joke is funny but should have been with the Brighton thread.

Did you know the biggest company for lawyers in Brighton is Butch Manley and Myncinge?

Belated thanks for the coffee Ak. Had mine while sanding down the walls on the stairwell. Dust on the top of it made it look like a Capucchino..........

Dandelions are doing very well on what passes for my lawn. Mrs Vic mowed it the other day "to get rid of the flowerheads" and was very surprised two days later when twice the number appeared.
