I know you 'had' to change your usual way of playing tonight but ffs sake you were playing the current ranked world number one team.,and RM out thought PG and you did a great job at the Bridge and i'll back you at the Nou Camp to battle for a draw. But someone please tell Drogba that his every move is scrutinised and if he overdoes the acting in Barcelona(or the final)it might just backfire on the team's effort to win the trophy.
Page nice one mate. That's the problem with Drog at times, he can take it too far, but as I said I'll give him a pass for the drama performance tonight as he had unfinished business, as Ginge said - fight fire with fire!
Drogs,we Liverpool supporters cringe when Suarez simulates in league/cup games(contrary to popular belief)but if Drogba's histrionics in the next weeks 2nd leg of the Champions league backfire on the team how will the Chelsea support react? Anyway,You won and beat the worlds number one club, and thats a great achievement.
I know, but the fact he hasn't dived much at all in the PL this season, I hate it when he does dive but Barca is a different kettle of fish I don't think we'll win next week but at least we're not down at the first hurdle!
We beat them over there not so long ago, they think they're invincible at home, but if you get your tactics spot on next week and hit them on the counter you'll catch them with their kecks down, because they have to score 2 goals to go through and if you score one on the break they need 3. Keep the faith.
Now I know you're just wumming, what a load of bollocks. Pires fell over for fun. The only reason THAT dive gets a mention is because of the importance of it. I also love the was you say "potential dive" - What the hell does that mean?
PMK--Spot on! One breakaway goal and that leaves them with 3 to score! I wonder how the bookies odds have changed over 24 hours?
Chaps Someone said last night on here that they thought it may be a tactic, and I wonder if that's the case... Drogba undoubtedly slows the game down with his going to ground, and as frustrating as it is for us to watch, I bet Barca got riled with it as well
Spot on 6 Barca love to play fast and love nothing better than drawing you on to the ball so they can weave their tight passing game past you.Chelsea defended very narrow with two lines of four which allows them to come on to us but also left them open to the sucker punch.
We played it exactly like in 09 but this time we had the little bit of luck to see it out. Great performance. It's realistically the only way to play them and have a chance of winning in such a big game. As for Drogba. Keep it up when playing them cheating catalunia Uefa darling **** bags. Play em at their own game.
Never been prouder to be a Chelsea fan than last night. Yes they battered us and yes we were lucky but the players fought like **** to a man (Kalou aside), even Meireles and in doing so proved a lot of people, some of them so called experts wrong and shut their venomous gobs up for at least one week. A team that was supposedly finished just a few weeks ago has been transformed by Robbie. We may still be playing ****e football but at least the fighting spirit is back. I just hope the players have enough left in their tanks to take care of the Islington filth and finish the job in Spain. I doubt they have but at least we can be proud of our teams resolve and determination once more. Something that was distinctly lacking under AVB!
