Absolutely flabbergasted:laugh: John Terry & Gary Cahill totally negated the Messi threat, Ash was also a hero and showed great energy & willpower.
Although we rode our luck a bit at times it was an almost perfect outing.

We live the dream for one more week<somersault>

    God Bless You Chelsea:emoticon-0152-heart

Great result for you, but surely it was their bad finishing rather than your good defending that did for them. They missed four gilt-edged chances. If they had scored those you would be slating your defence.

You cant use missing sitters as an excuse for not scoring. You miss one you have to try again and they failed each time they did. Bring on Nou Camp

I detect a begrudging response there PS! I can understand it knowing the rivalry between our clubs has risen a bit this year, but as we are doing the biz for England I can only assume you are not a patriot!

Just saw that the Pedro shot which hit the post in the final minute was due to very good last second touches from Ivanovic and Cole. Fantastic.

I agree with that. But surely your defence can't have played that well if they had four sitters. You can get a clean sheet after an appalling defensive display due to poor finishing or concede a couple of wonder goals during a brilliant defensive display. On Sunday Gallas did everything right against Drogba - was tight on him, made him turn onto his weaker foot and shoot from a poor position. The ball went screaming into the net. Brilliance by Drogba, nothing wrong with Gallas. Tonight Chelsea were opened up many times but the finishing was incompetent.

    Well done!

Drogba put in a real shift today and I haven't seen Ashley Cole this good in many years.
Your captain was immense, was like a rock and also formed a good partnership with Cahill.
This was probably the best perfomance I have seen by Mikel in a Chelsea-shirt.
And Petr Cech proved that he is still an absolute world class keeper, I have no idea why Chelsea were linked with other keepers like Krul recently.

Obviously there was some luck considering that they hit the woodwork twice and Cesc, Sanchez and Busquests missed great chances but you need it against a side like Barca.

Good luck for the return leg.

I wouldn't mind if your team would lose coming Saturday though. ;)

It is nothing to do with being patriotic, or anti-Chelsea. I would have said the same thing about Spurs in these circumstances. They won't miss four sitters at the Nou Camp so you will have to find a way to actually stop them creating chances. Everyone is saying that your defence all played well - it didn't look that way to me and if you don't think you have a problem you can't fix it.

    WELL DONE CHELSEA F.C.
Not all compliments tonight I see??

Jesus Christ, some fans are never happy are they. Looks like 3 things are hacking off most fans this season.

Man Utd, Stoke and Drogba.. Everyone bar Chelsea fans seem to hate us. <laugh>

I thought Cahill, Cole and Drogba we're fantastic.

HOW many of Barcca's passes all 700+ went either backwards or sideways.
I would guess around 90 per cent did.

YOU did what you had to do and did it brilliantly <applause>

Slight over-reaction. Pires has that one potential dive to his name, whereas ENGLISH players like Gerrard, Young and Andrew Johnson have a whole catalogue of terrible tumbles.

Really surprised at how many people are defending Drogba's actions. I guess you all defend Ashley Young too.
