I think it's mainly for them having UEFA under their thumb really, and all the rolling around antics from last year. With Utd out of the competition I don't need to hope for a Barca to stop them. Real can be just as bad, which is why I want Bayern to win the CL so everyone can stop banging on about the Spanish.
sorry, couldn't resist, this song immediately popped into my head when I saw that
Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Meireles, Ramires, Mata, Drogba. Subs: Turnbull, Essien, Torres, Malouda, Bosingwa, Kalou. Barcelona: Valdes, Dani Alves, Puyol, Mascherano, Adriano, Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Sanchez, Fabregas. Subs: Pinto, Pique, Bartra, Thiago, Keita, Pedro.
1-1 tonight. I don't think Barca will 'tear Chelsea a new one' as some people are saying but they will get an away goal which will give the the advantage going into the second leg. Ramires for Chelsea and Sanchez for Barca.
Good line up for Barcelona saw in previous post that Messy was a doubt but he is playing. Not saying that Barcelona are going to run riot but see them scoring at least 2 goals and Chelsea might pull 1 back so 2-1 to Barcelona
My only real reservation about Barca is the lack of strength and depth of their backline. Their normal starting defence is as good as any, even if Puyol is getting on abit, but when you're relying on Masca to fill in at CB it shows a definate weakness. Also not sure about their youngsters who have sometimes had to play in defence. If I were Barca manager it would be the area that I would buy to strengthen over the summer (although they seem to have their sights set on Bale, another Winger!). Just my opinion but they need new worldclass CB's next year.
Sorry but have you watched Barca this season? Mascherano has been their most consistent defender and one of the best in Europe. Watch him tonight, he's a beast. Watch him put his only poor performance of the season tonight just because I've jinxed him!
Although I lived in Barcelona for 7 years I´d like to see Chelsea win, I found them more likeable when Ronaldinho was there.
They play footballers and there are drawbacks to playing some teams in that respect, should they change their style for solid sh!t footballers like vidic and carra as I think that iof they do that they wil lose more games, for all their shortcommings they should be one up already and they are not firing as they normally do
Despise both clubs but Chelsea are about as ****ish a club as you can get so over 2 legs a Barcelona win would be great.
i thought cahill pushed inestai over after getting beaten, has ra got himself a ref i wouldnt put it past that sheite
