We're in 4 of the 10 featured 'Best Premier League Match' list. Not one of those matches we won. All of them are during this trophyless, barren streak. Out of our matches, the best quality one is probably the 4-4 draw with the Spuds I don't really have a point but I just thought it was interesting! Also interesting, is how the 5-3 against Chelsea isn't in the list but the 6-1 City/United game is when most of those goals came in 10 minutes...
The Premier League put it together, as far as I'm aware. You can vote for best goal, best save, best match etc on their official site; http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/20-seasons.html
From an Arsenal viewpoint, I can look back fondly at the 4-4 with Liverpool. Plus, Arshavin's reaction to scoring the hat-trick is gold. However, the goals in the 4-4 with the Spuds were top quality.
How in the world can the 8-2 be in the best PL match list???? It was Utd against an injury and suspension ravaged Arsenal team . Didnt we beat Everton's best team 6-1 at Goodison Park? Didnt we come from 2-0 down to beat the Spuds 5-2? Didnt we knock in 5 at Stamford Bridge? Didnt we come from 3-1 down to win 5-3 against Middlesborough to keep our record unbeaten run alive? Sounds like some anti-Arsenal prick wrote this list
Because Henry and Bergkamp are already there I guess. RVP should be there but that would be 3 Arsenal players.
the 5-4 game was better than the 4-4, and i'm not saying that because we lost a 2 goal lead, but in the 5-4 game you had goals coming none stop one after another in the second half making it a very tense roller coaster game where you didn't know what would happen next. The 4-4 happened right at the end when everyone thought the game was over, most Spurs fans even left, and then 2 quick goals came in just like that.
If we are honest, most of the best PL games have been with Arsenal, you have the 5-3 with chelsea, the 5-4 with spurs, the 5-2 with spurs, the 3-2 with manunited, the 5-3 with boro, the 4-2 with liverpool....Even in Europe, the best games in the competition in some of the past seasons have been our games, such as the games against Barca at the Emirates, the game against Madrid at Highbury, and even the recent 3-0 victory over Milan.
