As we come towards the end of the season, most of you are probably in the process of collecting the funds to purchase your new tickets for next year. A question How many of you have not used up your full quota of 2 additional tickets @ half price ? ( for 2 additional games ) How many of you either forgot or didn't know - like brb said on another thread this information is only on the application form and not printed in the season ticket booklet. It might be an idea for any of you that know that they are unlikely to take up this offer ( for themselves ) to ' offer ' to purchase discounted tickets for other Gills Not606ers - preferrably to those whose travel costs to Gillingham restrict their attendance. Seems a shame that there would be Gills fans who, might otherwise be able to attend, to miss out - and the club can always do with the extra money as well as support. brb dependant on the response to this thread, I might contact you with a view to keeping it 'alive ' during the season.
alwaysright - Very good question. I am just off out for the afternoon, so will look in again tonight with my thoughts.
I think the awareness of this incentive for season ticket holders has been quite poor. Yes, my full quota is currently unused as detailed in 'alwaysright' post.
I'll keep that in mind for next season. Look out for requests if I manage to get down for any home games!
Why do I feel as though the club just want to grab every single penny out of you sometimes, rather than acknowledging or recognising you as a loyal supporter? It was the bring a friend for £5 against Dagenham for season ticket holders yesterday...http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/page/TicketNews/0,,10416~1886735,00.html - so my son bought an additional ticket with his season ticket. He gave client reference number the seat number required (next to his seat) etc. How much do you think they tried to charge him? £25 You can imagine the following conversation and yes he did only pay £5, er sorry what was that I said about pennies, correction £5.50 (50p admin). Even if it was not friends for a fiver, he still had his full quota of 50% off available to him via his season ticket. Still we both accept there will be a reason why it was probably our fault.
brb - it's Oxford for whom I feel sorry - can you imagine the loss of expected revenue - after what our team did yesterday ( or rather what they didn't ) mind you, they should think themselves lucky that people can't get refunds as I doubt the game will be postponed.
I took a break from being a ST holder over the past two seasons, and have sat next to my two ST holding mates when possible. This is the first I've heard of the half price tickets, and my friends and I would have taken advantage of it had we known
alwaysright - Just so you know, I sent a tweet to the club today asking how we get our voucher for both shirts next season having done the early bird offer. They replied stating the voucher will be in the book.
Thanks for the info ( don't know what the hell you're talking about - I 've obviously missed something - but not the half price tickets.)
