Good Morning Leeds Fans, A 1-0 loss at Blackpool. We held our own for 80 minutes, stats were relatively even, and they sneaked it 1-0. Can't say I'm all that surprised. If truth be known, at least it was 1-0. There was (apparantly) a clerar cut penalty mid way through the second half wehen McCormack went down in the box. Who knows what could have happened if we had been awarded that. Agree or not? Warnock has been quoted as saying that he has a busy couple of weeks infront of him and expects his first couple of signings by the 6/7 May. We need better then O'Dea. I'm amazed AOB, Connelly, Bruce, Pugh, Rachubka and Kissa have not been given notice yet.... The end of season cannot come quick enough. Thank goodness we had some good results beginning of the season... Snodds was pretty quiet (again). Is that a sign, I hope not !!!
Morning Elland. AOB & Rachubka are probably on their way, although both are no doubt under contract. So there maybe some issues to sort out over payoffs. Connolly & Bruce may survive the cull, as both would still appear to have a role to play. Happy to be proven wrong on those two. I think Kisnorbo may have to come back after his injury & then go out on loan for Warnock to be able to take a look at him before any decision is made. Bring on the summer, the olympics, the Euros, the jubilee, some leave.... & then depression rains supreme as the recession has bitten & there were no moths seen materialising from the Monaco region of Europe as Papa Smurf again fails to open his piggy bank widely enough.
Aye look for the Reading and Saints players that aren't good enough for the EPL, being linked with Leeds, just what we need other teams cast offs at a bargain deal!
Boggers, apparantly though Warnock is only looking for a squad of 21/22, and if we keep Connelly, Bruce, Kissa and Bromby, NONE of them should be playing in the starting xi, and there is too many of them (especially on the wage bill, think Bromby is on 12k a week) to play in the reserves
We'd be better moving on or getting Kisnorbo into a coaching role...cant see him coming back as a player...could probably make it into a league 2 team
Boab, we had Richardson and Harding. Its only in the last month or so Butterfield has taken over at left back
I'd be more than happy with Richardson coming back, he's developed into a pretty useful right back at this level. Harding wasn't that great when we had him, I always thought he didn't appear to really want to be with us, but I'm willing to give him another chance. Let's be honest both players are 100% better than the drivel we currently have.
