1-3 and I'm ****ing chuffed! Get in there lads, by the sounds of it a great professional performance, soured slightly by letting in a soft goal (although it doesn't matter too much). All we need now is to dick Middlesbrough and we're there! COYS
Delighted. Ecstatic. Delirious. Amazed. Proud... Just a few words of how I am feeling right now. Reading may be promoted tonight, but the title is far from over!
yeah, if we get something from the boro game on sat, brum have nothing to play for on the final day of the season (unless they were trying to avoid the hammers) so they won't be too interested in fielding their best players against reading.
After a few days stressing, all I want is auto, but the title is still possible. Reading won 1.0 against a poor side, so see no reason that they couldn't lose to Birmingham. I suspect that they may get one draw and beat us by 1 point...a shame but we were second last year and that didn't do us any harm. Want them to seal it against M'boro so the Coventry match is about 1st or 2nd...and the party can begin.
A draw for them would be good enough. As I said before i reckon they will win the title by one point after a draw in the remaining 2 games.
Well, someone said that it was raining this morning, but I hadn't noticed. I couldn't bear the thought of listening to the radio last night so I went for a walk and then checked the score every so often. I don't believe that this activity had any bearing on the final result. I do not understand anyone saying that Reading are champions already. I congratulate them on a fantastic run, but having achieved their main objective it would not be surprising if they lost a game. Their players have probably already got their heads in the Premiership and are thinking about how they will spend the extra money. Our away form must be looking pretty good by now and who would bet against us beating Coventry? West Ham may feel that that the fat lady has already started her warm up exercises, but as far as the title is concerned, I think that she is still in her dressing room, gargling.
Got home just after 1am this morning, tired yet elated. Been suffering with a stinking cold and sore throat all week yet I sang my heart out for the boys. An accomplished and professional performance by the team and made me very proud. Our fans were sensational. I didn't even hear the Posh fans once all evening. A little disappointed with the 'boyos' on the terrace next to me who started throwing a few punches after our first goal went in. Given that we haven't had the terrace experience for 15+ years now, I think people are a bit too sensitive to withstand all the pushing and jostling you tend to get when standing. Not sure how some youngsters these days would have coped with the 70's and 80's. By the way, was that a Sky camera interviewing Lallana after the game?
Can't keep the smile off my face this morning - and we're not even promoted yet! Anyone know where there are highlights online...?
Absolutely! Look at Brighton last season, they were crowned champions before we played them and they were 16 points ahead of us then. We finished the season 5 games later just 3 points behind. Reading will relax now and let us sneak the title when we beat Coventry.
Hi guys, it is time to draw blue line under the match and focus on our next game. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/138573-The-Positive-Middlesbrough-v-Saints-Match-Thread
