Spectacular sour grapes as usual from Leeds.

As everyone else points out, Leeds have consistently been one of the dirtiest teams about. It was painful watching your players lord it in League 1, bullying the ref, acting the big shots (fans chanting that the opposition fans were only there to see them). Good God. Maybe you'll get promoted with the graceful one-touch football that Neil Warnock likes, eh?

leedsfan0201: will you lot ever stop that boring boloquios about how "big" you are? That's just in your head, sunbeam. It's like the images that go through what passes for your brain when you masturbate into your sock. Whatever a group of players did in the (distant in your case) past has nothing to do with how teams are playing at the moment. Who would you prefer to watch playing football, Reading or Leeds? Reading, obviously, because at the moment they are BETTER than you. Face up to it and shut up.

Just one comment re your post, It's proven teams tend to get their biggest home gates of the season playing against Leeds United. We were a big draw in League One as we are in The Championship. Leeds United no matter what division they're in will always be a big club. FACT.

Well done on succumbing to a rather obvious WUM.<ok>

I don't think Reading have been particularly unscrupulous in the way they've got promoted, so fair play to them. Been a bit of a pushover selling type club, but you've got to raise the dough somehow if you're a small club. I don't think they add anything to the top flight and their fans are a bit boring and tinpot, but they're nice enough. Be pissed off if they cling on like Wigan have for so many years, but I doubt they will. Let 'em enjoy their day in the sun.

Now for some good old myth-busting.

Last season, 14 of the 23 away grounds we went to recorded their highest attendance against us.

This season, we still have on average the highest crowds from both home and away fans on our travels, even though West Ham have the novelty factor and have been more competitive than us on the pitch.

Obviously the chant 'you're only here to watch the Leeds' is a piss-take, but there's a grain of truth in there. People want to see their side beat Leeds more than most others, so more of them go to their games against us. Why? Because they see us as a big club, and an important scalp to take.

Sorry terrypaine, but there's far more to a club's size than the eleven men on the pitch at this moment in time. Even when Saints were in the third division, you were a bigger club than some Premiership sides. Your argument belittles your own club's standing.

So what? No one cares how "big" you are. It's the performances that matter, and you lot are impressing no one.

It wouldn't get discussed so mind-numbingly often if people didn't care.

Leeds fans are still living on past glories, how sad.
You've got a past but no future and finishing in the top 10 in the championship for you every season will be looked upon as a massive success.

Reading and Saints are two clubs on the up,unlike Leeds.

    Congrats Reading :D.

I'm pretty sure it's the Leeds fans who keep bringing it up.

'Living on past glories' doesn't make any sense. We remember the past as much as any other great club, but we're likewise living as much in the present as anyone else, and we realize that the present and future look bleak, which is why we're trying to fight the cancer that has infected our club.

I can assure you that's rubbish. "Leeds are no longer a big club", "you're living in the past", "disgusting fans", "no-one cares about you any more", "poor crowds" - all the typical bullshit allegations levelled against us, usually without any provocation. This thread is the exception rather than the rule.

I originally came on to congratulate Reading but got slightly offended by the crap directed at Leeds United.

Anyway, well done Reading. Well deserved promotion.

I, for one, have always had great banter with Leeds fans, especially those of you on the LUFC Talk - first-class guys and good contributions

What Utter nonsense from TWS fan. TWS have been playing dirty for years and years. Dirty whites.

As for Reading. Well done and you fully deserve what you have got. After the hangover of last season and the poor start to this on top of selling Mills and Long in August,, Brian McDermott has done a great job for your club. Just needs Southampton to finish things off tomorrow and keep West Ham in 3rd and set for play-off misery. Yay.

One thing about John Majeski though. He needs to keep his mouth shut.Alot like Paul Duffen was @ Hull. Total gobsite. Reading have no right to be in the PL. Nobody does. You earn the right to be there and further still to stay there. He needs to think before he speaks. Drunk or not.!!!
