    Fergie no question or debate.

For best player, as a United fan, it must be Cantona, every time. In terms of impact, his was just astonishing. The modern United was created by Fergie but he was lucky to have Cantona with him.

For the more neutral it could be Giggs because of his sustained excellence over 20 years.

It would be nice to see Paul Scholes get some recognition. He's different class to everyone else on that list and one of only two Englishmen on the list <ok>

My team of the 20 years had zero non United players not surprising seems United have absolutely dominated the league for 20 years.

My only regret is having to leave some e.g Evra to fit in other e.g Irwin.

Nemanja Vidic should be in the team of the last 20 years of the premier league.

Great call - Vidic+Stam for the CB positions... even Adams would struggle to get in ahead of those two...

For the team I went for

Cech ( Was a very very hard call between Cech and Van Der Sar but Cech was streets ahead of every keeper before he got his injury and would have no doubt improved for a few years instead of declined so went for him )
    Neville Terry Vidic Cole
Ronaldo Scholes Makelele Giggs ( Was very hard between Pires/Giggs/Robben but had to go for giggs due to the way he has maintained his quality level for about 20 years )
Henry Zola ( Picking two forwards out of that list was even harder and was between Nistelrooy/Bergkamp/Zola/Henry/Rooney/Shearer for me and went for them two in the end ) .

    5 Chelsea Players
    5 Man u players
    1 Arsenal player

Shows what 3 teams have been the most dominant forces, even the positions that were close calls were mainly between Chelsea and Man u players lol

A pallister + Vidic combination would be better.

What the ****? Cech or Van der Sar ahead of Schmeichel? You must be taking the piss pal. You'll never see a better keeper than Schmeichel. The guy was ****ing immense. Cantona was my hero but Schmeichel was as important to the team as Le Roi.

I rarely saw Schmeichel, i don't support any team apart from my local club and have only mainly watched premier league football on a long consistent basis for the last 10 years, i've heard he was the best of the pl era but it's unfair of me to say him when i've rarely seen him compared to Cech/Van Der Sar

Wierd thing is NOF that while I rate Schmeichel highly I also think van Der Sar was the marginally better keeper. There's not much in it admittedly. Cech isn't fit to be mentioned in the same breath as either of them.

    No, no, no, no.

    No.

VDS was a brilliant keeper but Schmeichs was in a league of his own.

    Someone close the thread now!

It was Edwins last couple of seasons that did it for me. I was thinking he was ready to retire, started making mistakes and such like. Then he just raised his game again. It seemed to coincide with his wife being ill but i could be mistaken, he was suddenly the best out there again. He could have easily had one more season.
