Watched that contagion other day btw guys, decent film for what it was and unlike all other virus movies it wasnt stupidly OTT.

 

Liked all three of those movies. Although SuperSizeMe was a bit disingenous imo cos I think the results were exacerbated by the fact the guy never ate saturated fats and red meat before the film. I reckon if you took an average fat American and stuck them on a diet of nothing but bran fibre, fresh vegetables and tofu for a month they would probably **** themselves to death.

Sicko is another good one. Massively biased by Michael Moore's filming style and PR, but I still loved it when they took all the sick Yanks to Cuba and got them all healed

 

haven't seen Sicko, must give it a whirl, I like moore but like you say he does have a particular style of reporting .... good though.

Moore, depends on what side of the fence you sit, what color you are ( democrat or republican). I think he has a very abrasive style but what he is pointing out probably has truth and merit in it, but it is what you want to believe. I think the way he goes about it makes him look threatening and less patriotic but the conspiracies get a bit overwhelming for me.

Ya, for me, I know we have our problems and thanks for shedding some light on corruption but if you really don't like it and loathe everything about the US, you can always leave. Many countries he would be jailed or seen as a terrorist ( well some here call him that too!), but here it is just using your first amendment rights to the max!

It's not so much the conspiracy theories for me, it's the way he takes very shaky evidence and makes it look like it incontrovertibly supports his argument. Much like many people on these forums ironically enough! (mainly bitter Chelsea and Arsenal fans )

I agree. I don't think he deliberately moved his foot just to get the contact, but as soon as he felt the contact he was on his way down in a needlessly acrobatic manner. In fact, I generally agree with Gary Neville's analysis here:

Although I think the problem is even worse. Not only do you have to take a fall if you want a foul, but if you look at the examples he highlights, Carroll, Suarez and Tevez didn't try to exaggerate their falls and got booked. Young and Dzeko leapt into the air, made a massive meal out of it, and got the foul. It's almost at the stage where players feel the need to pull off a stupidly exaggerated fall to try and avoid a booking
