If there's a thread on him i apologise, i was watching analysing yesterday's game and the weekend's as well and he has so much knowledge of the game, he should be a manager, start at the bottom work his way to the top, he's by far the best pundit on tv and his views on diving was spot on.
Being a good pundit and being a good manager are completely different. If he carries on how he is he'll be the best pundit around, he understands the modern game and expresses his views excellently. Very impressive start in my opinion.
This. Being a manager and being a pundit are not the same, the game looks much different from down in the dugout than it does on a big screen TV.
Ignoring the manager part, I have to say I've been surprised at how good a pundit he has been, very neutral as well.
As others have said, being a pundit and a manager are 2 completely different things. I have been impressed with Neville's punditry and has provided an neutral perspective when he is commenting on the games so this has impressed a lot of opposition fans as well.
It's also very easy to work out what a team are doing wrong, much harder to actually work out how to fix it...just ask Dalglish...
I've enjoyed monitoring how much weight he's put on each week. Come the start of next season it will be difficult to tell him apart from Eamonn Holmes.
Dalglish doesn't need to work out how to fix the problems as long as his team have smiles on their faces.
