You know it really has to be said, that some of you 'fans' on here who like to question 'fans' loyalty when they speak out against things going very wrong at Arsenal are truly quite pathetic. This is something we have consistently seen, any fan who states the obvious, is labeled as a fake, a phony, that he's happy things are going wrong just so he can be proven right bla bla bla bla. This actually shows what a weak pathetic child like mentality you blinker brigade fans have. Who the f--k gave you guys the high moral ground all of a sudden, or made you guys the gods and prophets of AFC to label others as outcasts or deviants??????

But the irony is that it's you the blinker brigade who are in the minority, because most fans have been openly speaking out against the rubbish we have had to witness throughout this season, so I guess that makes most AFC fans fake and only you the few the real and true chosen fans.

But at the end of the day maybe we should start giving it back to you, in reality, it's the blinker brigade who aren't real fans, after all, a real friend wouldn't stand by his friend while he's in trouble and act like everything is fine, that's not a real friend. in fact it's the blinker brigade who have allowed consistent mediocrity to persist at this great club of ours, and it's a result of them, that Arsenal continue to fail to reach the heights, because they continue to make excuse after excuse, and thus legitimise our consistent failure of success, and so they are actually hurting our club.

The more fans that speak out, the more the Arsenal board and manager realise they have to change things up realising that we won't take their silly sh!t, but the more excuses from the fake blinker brigade fans, the more it makes the board and the manager persist in their failed policies because they just look at these fake fans and say "see? someone must agree with us, so it's not bad, we shall continue on course, and end another season trophyless, and another season with 10 losses, but it's ok, we have these 'fans' who like it".

I agree with what you wrote but maybe not the manner you said it in! I got critised by the people I usually agree with for saying I thought we played well and were unlucky last night. So maybe it is just we see things differently on some occasions too <ok>

well of course we are likely to see things differently. This is a forum - you know exchange of ideas, views. Its just that worship gets 'true fan' support, criticism gets ' plastic, johnny come lately, i walk 300 miles to every home game, I remember every game for the last 40 years stuff'

    sad really.

OP - dunno why you bother. This isn't the first thread written about this, its school yard stuff on their part, they have their little gang and like to talk like they are Arsenal. I love it when people try to tell me they represent Arsenal yet they have no connection to the club or area and just because they can afford to go to games regularly or have the spare time, they are real fans <laugh>

The simple solution is - if they give it .. you give it back to them. I'm all for debate and argument but some of those boys don't have a clue.

This thread will get closed imminently by the usual suspects ...

    thats NOT the point Piskie.

You and others do shout down, bully and HAVE to have the last word.
Why not hold back - count to 20 - and refuse to get drawn into these long diatribes.
You know there are fans ( yes fans) among us who will also keep coming back.

As a MOD I think you should refrain from joining in so much. - then maybe the others will back off?

Peace and harmony - what a laugh.

Not getting into the Arsenal thing but just picking up on the closed comment.

THREADS SHOULD ONLY BE CLOSED, DELETED, EDITED or changed if they are abusive, illegal, offensive or look like turning into a free for all and get out of control.

If I closed all the threads or comments that abused me or did not agree with me the forum would be empty.

    Just an observation.

You could apply the same to anyone else on here. So why single anyone out ? If someone wants to pursue a point, then why shouldn't an opposing view also be pursued. You've said time and again that this is a forum with different views, so why are you now trying to make out that one side should back down?

No threads have ever been closed down on this board because a mod simply doesn't agree with what's being said.
In fact we have very little moderation do to. The only threads that have been closed are those that have descended into slanging matches.

I'm going to make one more comment on this thread and then leave it for you say what you want.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this board - and everyone is entitled to counter it with their own.

Born and bred in north London and still live in North London. Been going regularly to games every year since the mid 80's. I think this qualifies me as a fan and a supporter.

But the OP is talking utter bollocks as usual. I guarantee that he only started supporting the Arsenal during the early sucess of the Wenger era.

And as for Bergkamp, Piskie and all mods have as much right to join in and participate as much as they choose to.

  15. Mr 87 by all means have your say. That's what a forum is about. You'll be countered of course but you'll also find an increasing majority who are left bemused by the way our team continuously misses out especially on those occasions when they should be walking away with the spoils of an encounter. Shareholders question the boards of companies at AGMs, why shouldn't fans question the performance of the clubs they support? Seems fair to me though perhaps not to those who unfairly dismiss opinions which do not meet with their own. Some of these perhaps have scant notion of the nature of a forum.

For ****s sakes. There have been enough threads about this ****. Let it go or join a different forum.

If you don't like something PM the mod. If you don't like the answer PM one of the super mods.

Well i think this forum is pretty good and not as strict as some of the others like the chelsea and spuds forum.

I think our mods do a good job.

The only thing I can think of that was bad was when they banned jayram for no reason. Some of us think jayram is a top poster and that banning was annoying but in the end that banning was overturned <ok>

.......and people wonder why some threads descend into a slanging match.

So what do you want then? No moderation at all? and leave threads like this to fester and breed ill feeling? you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be someone asking for this to be closed soon. Then what if we do? The Mods are censoring us !!! ?
