Very mature of you good sir, very mature indeed.

Funny how its always a Liverpool supporter who sees fit to bring up a players private life. Even worse when its the dead mind.

Ironic in many way, very ironic...

Living in leeds these days theres a big RL fanbase here, it seems where football doesnt prosper like in Yorkshire then Rugby fills the void.

Its common knowledge George liked a drink or 3 what's your problem? Other than someone dared to inject some humour at the expense of a utd player

More of a RU fan personally but RL is massive in the North West - actually, I think Sale is the only decent union team up here...

Its also been proven in a sporting court that Suarez is a racist but if that gets mentioned all hell breaks loose*

    * proving a point, not a matter for discussion as its boring as hell.

When I lived in lancs a few friends were big Wigan Fans and were always bouncing when they did well. Football just has something about it though and 3 billion people cant be wrong really.

Really can you show the document that shows he was found guilty of being a racist? Or is this another line you dreamed up? FYI he was found guilty of making racist remarks bit of a difference that intelligent people understand..little surprise you think he's a racist then.

Actually, it wasn't a court of any description, it was a panel that had quasi-judicial status equal only to a disciplinary hearing in the workplace. But even so, they specifically stated that Suarez was NOT a racist.

We shouldn't get bogged down in arguing whether or not Young dived. The whole world can see that he did on both occasions, despite UIR's increasingly desperate attempts to exonerate him. The question was how do we deal with it.
I still feel Draconian measures are needed to try to and eradicate it, though I've been persuaded that red cards are not the answer because of the effect on the game overall.
Retrospective punishment seems the only answer, some will feel wronged by it, but the alternative seems to be to accept it as part of the modern game and allow a further decline away from sportsmanship and into win-at-all-costs, so called "professionalism".

    saint..totally agree with your comments.

With the amount of tv coverage today, the incidents could be reviewed from numerous angles after the game. Then an independent panel of ex-pro's could make the decision wether the individual did or didn't dive.

Its an increasing disease spreading throughout football, and will only get worse if it isn't dealt with.

    Yes, you are wrong.
But let's not drag this out again. Go and read the report- properly, not just the bits the press want you to read- before offering an opinion.

The problems you have with this, is that you cannot put it on to the ref, as it is hard to catch this half the time. So I agree with the reporting and video evidence path. I disagree with the banning of the player. Suarez is a hero for his hand-ball in the world cup. I say a point deduction from clubs as the punishment, that will stop it, as there is then no idea of personal sacrifice for the good of the team. This however runs in to the same problem as goal line technology, the old farts in the FA only want to introduce stuff that they can do in the prem, but also the pub league.

    Except Young didnt dive.

If you like I could help to show you the difference between a dive and 'playing for the penalty'. Years ago players offered a trick or 2 to force a challenge out of a player, Young did much the same when he flicked the ball beyond the defender and did a quick change of direction. At that point he drew the tackle from the defender and went down. Contact was made, to say Young moved his foot to the ball is a little far fetched, it would be very difficult to change your entire bodies direction while moving your leg in a different direction while on 1 foot and at pace. The contact was slight and Young went well ott in going down but as far as the rules go, thats a penalty.

TBH if you dont like it, dont watch the game. Simple. Find an honest sport where you dont need to worry about this sort of thing ever happening......oh wait, most sports have much more cheating on a much much more organised scale, cricket, rugby, golf etc etc....

If anyone thinks diving is a big issue in football then show some evidence. I agree its wrong but when people say its the biggest problem in the game......morons, seriously.

Is this the same report that you all disagree with on the points that paint suarez in a bad light out of interest?

Yes, as I say,-read it. Because if you haven't, your opinion- recycled from other people's selective quotes- is worthless.

I did a while back but tbh its in the past. LFC fans disagree with every bit against suarez but the bit that says it doesnt mean hes a racist....you all liked that bit.

    Hmmmm, wonder why...

These ideas are daft and thats why the FA wouldnt even consider them.

You cant have a panel judging anything unless you know whats being judged and in this case, nobody knows how to differentiate between a dive and an exaggerated fall for some reason.

On a post further back I point out the difficulty in doing so, you have to factor in each individual player, size, speed, balance everything.

Far far to difficult and will kill the excitement.

I really dont see the big deal though. Its not affecting the game at all, never has and never will. Football is MASSIVE, small things dont affect anything about the game. Like the odd goal that may or may not of gone over the line, its so rare it isnt too much of an issue. 2 or 3 times a season out of 100s and 100s of games. Widen it to the rest of the world and thats 1000s of games every week and a minute fraction may have a refereeing mistake like a ghost goal.

Read the report fully, then comment. Unlikely as your obviously way to stupid to do so. Suarez paid the penalty for his actions, shame Young will get away with his.
