Exactly. Players would be ripped to shreds if they were found to be cheating during the match.Definately would cut out divers and those who hold their face when getting slapped in the chest(example).

    Yo.....

dont know if this has been mentioned but Rugby......<<<<< yeh that.......ITS ****.

Football needs nothing from rugby, there is a reason football is loved by billions and rugby by barely anyone.......... most people dont want big screens showing every single angle or fake blood scandals or players having their faces caved in by a bunch of confused knobheads who have a passion for gay antics......

Rugby is dire, in every sense of the word.

At worst Ashley over simulated his fall. The contact is as clear as you can possibly get.

Oh get out of it! In the QPR one he had his shirt touched - not pulled or grabbed, just TOUCHED (Gary Neville's words). In the Villa game HE initiated the contact by throwing his leg at Clark's rapidly withdrawing knee (admittedly, an old trick of Gerrard and Rooney of yesteryear).

As for the CL final, even Gattuso admitted there was contact, but never enough for Gerrad to have gone down. Maybe that's why the ref didn't send him off as he should have done. But there was certainly more contact than Young against QPR, but less than when Rafeal pulled back Blackburn's Pederson a couple of seasons ago when Coward Webb bottled it again at OT ('natch) and insired one-eyed Ferguson to claim that although there was contact and he never got anywhere near the ball Pederson didn't deserve a penalty (and a Utd sending off) as Person was "looking for it". Obviously had a change of heart on that scenario since...

He was fouled. Get over it, dont you have a consolation cup final to look forward too.... I am sure when Gerrard makes his usually attempt at cheating in finals you will all cheer.

When are you giving AC Milan their CL trophy back? How many of you condemed Gerrard? You say slight touch.......there was more contact between the Villa defender and Young!

As said, it was less of a penalty than the one we should have had in the first half when Nesta practically slapped the ball away off Garcia's toe, but a lot, lot more than the QPR one you got last week.

And once again we have a glory hunting manc, prefering to look at others rather than his own...no change there then!! Maybe we should remind him of Crissy Ronaldo's diving habits whilst at old trapshed.

Diving is the scruge of the modern game, under minimal contact or none, sticking out a leg to ensure contact, or whatever way a dive occurs..ITS CHEATING.

Its simple an independent panel of ex-pro's could sit on a Sunday/Monday and review all the incidents, if they feel a player has dived then an instant 3 game ban, if they repeat then 5 games..If they introduced this, i promise within 6 months diving will have gone from the game.

    My god how stupid.....

A glory hunting manc preferring to look at others rather than his own....

tell me oh wise one.............. who have every none United fan been talking about this week in regards to diving........oh please do tell.

Diving is the scourge of the modern game......its been around for decades and the game continues to improve both in terms of ability and entertainment ( football of yesteryear was all about trying to cause pain to fellow pros tbh compared to today )

The biggest problem in the modern game is fans, clubs, managers and players looking for any excuse to shift blame. Oh we would of won but the ref never gave us a drop ball in the first half and we all just gave up because of it. **** off, pathetic attitude.

Glad my team never gives up because the ref ****ed us over, EVER!

Once again another moronic comment, from someone who's little more than a glory hunter and quiet clearly has only watched football for a couple of years.

And how many times has Slur Aulky blamed a ref, when utd lose? 10,20 or more times than you can remember? You little man are a grade a tw4t.

    Clearly you don't watch it.

Are you a fan of the constant breaks in football when a player gets his arm scratched by someone but collapses to the ground like his arm's been broken so we all have to wait whilst the physios come on, put the magic sponge on him, walk him off and then have the nuisence of kicking the ball back to the team's keeper who put it out of play, even though they might have been in a good attacking position? Ignore them unless it's a head injury or the physio needs a stretcher called on. They'll soon get back up if they're faking but the game continues.

Do you enjoy those goals given which clearly didn't cross the goal line or those which arent' given when they did cross the line? Takes 30s to fix that problem.

What about players surrounding the referees, pressuring them into making decisions, booking players or arguing once a call is made? Captains only unless called forward by the ref.

I'll tell you what else we can learn, extra time. Referee can simply stop the clock when the ball isn't in play instead of all this pathetic guessing and arguing about extra time.

Retrospective punnishments. The RFU can and does ban players post game for incidents during the game which the referee missed or interpreted wrongly. Bans are lengthy. Issues like Balotelli's 'leg breaker' would see him get banned even if the ref saw it. It doesn't undermine the referee, refs aren't superhuman, they can't see everything perfectly first time.

4th official. Accept that officiating a game isn't a one man show. It's a refereeing team. Let the 4th official do something instead of holding up an extra added on time board which is usually wrong anyway.

Just because you think it's ****e, doesn't mean football has nothing to learn from it.

I think horseracing is ****e, doesn't mean that other people don't enjoy it

One thing we have learned in the last six months is that there is no such thing as an 'independent' panel associated with the FA. They'd probably have Suarez up in front of the bench every week for even bending over to tie his shoe-laces if Ferguson deemed it so.
