    This thread has been like a foriegn land to me. I've never heard of any of the people mentioned so far.

    Having watched that programme on the 70s last night I did listen to a bit of T Rex and Bowie on YouTube.

    Whenever I listen to Ride a White Swan I am immediately reminded of my very first game at the Dell when I went to watch the double winning Arsenal side and ended up a Saints fan for life.

    I thought it an excellent summary of a decade that quite fundamentally changed Britain. Mind you the music was a bit patchy. There was a great deal of dross.
