Aguero, Rooney, Silva, Bale, Parker, J.Hart, Van Persie....

What a parcel of Camel ****.

All but Van Persie and Parker have been inconsistent this season.

Surely Ba should be up there!

Cost nowt and scored 16 goals, plus played a vital part in goals whilst not scoring. The bargain of the season.

Joe Hart and Scott Parker <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

Pretty sure Krul's got the same amount of clean sheets as Hart...oh yeah he plays for a 'smaller' team.

Scott Parker fair play I suppose, he is the absolute master of the centre-circle pirouette.

Lol this is just lol. Sturridge ahead of say Krul for young player? Has Sturridge even played a game since December? Farcical. Krul has played pretty much every minute and has arguably been the most consistent keeper in the league, bar one poor game away to Fulham.

I think Ba going to the ACON and then getting Cisse took him out of the running because he's not really been banging them in since then so he's dropped off people's radar a bit. It's sort of unfair, but I understand why it happened.

The one that really surprises me is Krul not getting a young player nomination. I think he's been immense this season and really deserves a nod. On the other hand it is all madey-up ****e meant to sell newspapers and such, so what can you expect.

And in a way, I'm sort of glad that no-one got mentioned because it'll reduce transfer speculation by the lazy press (Krul linked to £40million Man U. deal etc).

Thought Krul, Vorm and Dempsey were all in with a shout. Krul wouldn't qualify for young player would he, isn't he about 24 now?

I think all those mentioned have had fantastic seasons to be fair. I'd just struggle to leave out Krul and Kompany. I personally think Krul has had more impact on our season than Joe Hart has had on theirs. Each to their own with Parker, but for me he has made a massive difference to Spurs and England. While everyone raves about VDV, Modric and Bale, they fail to look at who is aloowing them to play. As usual the defenders get **** on. I'd have nominated Colo but would have to concede that there has been no better defender than Kompany. The bloke has been a different world. I also find it comical that Yaya Toure is not in there given he has been the best central midfielder in the league! Yet Silva (who went missing for two crucial months) is in?

Krul, Dempsey (16 goals mainly from left wing in an unfashionable side), Kompany, Toure, Valencia would all look and think they've been unlucky. I think the football writers awards carry more weight these days. Not least because they take more of the end of the season into account.

Why are you having a hissy fit, the PFA awards a player nominated honour. Meaning all the premier league players have voted for the final line up. I am a little disappointed to not see at least 1 of our players in each category but who cares as long as we finish 4th.

Good news though, Coloccini was in Gary Neville's 'Team of the Season'. Krul, Cabaye and Ba were in the shortlist for their respective positions...

It was a great watch and a great to listen to someone who knew what he was talking about. As he said you can't really win because there will be two or three for every position. I agreed with his selections in the main. I'd have gone with Krul but there you go. To be honest his selections mean more than any of these awards. I never thought I'd find myself liking the man so much! His crack about how things change and how when you went to a restaurant you used to get bread with a bit of butter, and now you get oil, olives and vinegar even had wor lass in stitches. Then he moved onto frappuccinos etc. Classic stuff from Neville and he just comes across as so grounded. Top bloke and seems to genuinely like Newcastle

Best keeper in the league by a distance.

The list is a bit **** but he's one that definitely deserves to be there.
