    Jonny Evans has done really well in the absence of Vidic and what with Rio's various injuries. What do you make of him?

    Always thought he was a squad player, no shame in that, but this season he's starting to look like a guy you want in your first 11.

    Also glad to see Rafael's development continuing, don't know where people got off slating him earlier in the season.

    Evans has always had the ability but not the confidence. This season has had lots of confidence and so his performances have soared. Great assert to United. Fair play to SAF for backing the lad when many others were attacking him. Love to see players like Evans and De Gea shove the criticism down peoples throats.

    Like Constcrepe pointed out, don't forget David De gea as well he's been fantastic this year and has been one of the reason why we are top of the league.

    Evra has improved a lot recently despite all the critism he was getting earlier in the season also.

    This. Now only two behind Hart for the Golden Glove, and hasn't conceded in the league in over nine hours. Shades of VDS' huge contribution in 2009 <ok>

    For me Evans has been one of our stand out performers in our team this season. In the last few months since Vidic was injured, he has provided a good partnership with Ferdinand in the heart of our defence.

    I remember a lot of United fans doubting him from the past few seasons but he has improved considerably and has shut his critics up.
