Not much to it i don't think, there is a big Irish community in Shepherds Bush and other places in North-West London where QPR is local club, there are also little things which may attract fans in Ireland such as Guinness sponsor and green and white hoops...
Like many Rs supporters my Dad was an immigrant from the Republic who settled in the Notting Hill area in the 1940s and 1950s. North West London (Kilburn, Cricklewood, Queens Park, Ladroke Grove, etc) is simply the extended area around Paddington where many of the Irish first arrived. They adopted QPR as the local club but bear in mind that they could have gone to the Arse or the Scum. They didn't.
Yes, agree. I don't know how many threads Cerny has started that have driven the rest of us crazy. Its payback time.
Well I'd agree with the poster above who put it down to the large Irish community in our part of London. Irish heritage myself but the first one in my family to really like football. QPR sort of chose me because when we first moved to London we lived in Stanlake Villas and I went to St Stephens on Uxbridge Rd so they really were my local team.
