next season. Yeah well done Neil. Saying that about our top scorer is really going to make him want to sign a new contract <doh>

Maybe he'll rotate the squad a bit more than SG to keep them fresh. If, as would appear to be the case, we're going to make a serious push for auto next year, we'll need Ross & others fresh & firing on all cylinders.

In fairness I think he said he would play a big start but wasn't sure if he'd start every game because you need a strong squad. Perfectly understandable IMO.

That's how it should be. Ross is brilliant but we've seen he gets tired and loses confidence and needs dropping occasionally. Well done Colin.

In fairness I agree, he shoulda been rested earlier in the season not only because he was tired but to bring him back down to earth a little bit

If we'd have rested him at any point in the second half of the season then i dread to think how low team performances would have dropped. hes been the only one producing anything like consistency

But Logi, even our best player needs a break occasionally. Also gives someone else an opportunity to shine. The problem was never scoring goals. It was the defence that had a problem

Under Grayson, McCormack was always substituted and he hated it. When he was not playing, he hated it. He is the last person that I see as needing a "rest".

    Snoddy on the other hand....

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, if only we could predict when a Striker is going to go through a lean spell. You drop him on the game he would have scored a brace and instead you lose the match, you drop him after he has failed to score for 2-3 games and his confidence goes from being knocked to shattered and everyone pointing out you have been dropped for not scoring.
