Are you suggesting every Official Inquiry finds and reports the truth? - or just that Taylor is right?
Phew - you might be gullible in the extreme.

This pic is on the spuds board - they are claiming that the whole of the ball hadn't crossed the line. As if you draw a line down from the right hand edge of the ball to the goal line, it shows that the ball hasn't entirely crossed.

I'm arguing that that is an incorrect way to judge it as the photo is at an angle, therefore to get a parallel, you would need to draw a line from the right hand edge of the ball, parallel with the goal line to the edge of the net to see where the ball is in relation to the line.

That tells me that the whole of the ball is over the line.

Anyone got a different interpretation ?

I just don't let my dislike of Liverpool FC or their fans cloud my view.

you need 2 pairs of lines - one pair vertical , and one horiz - the widths of the post and bar.
Then you might deduce where the ball was at the intersection.....

Ah. I don't particularly dislike them - many are very funny. - or I feel sorry for them. <laugh>
The tragedy was a tragedy ...

  6. I couldn't resist - basically draw a line from the centre of the ball to the net at the same angle as the goal line, then draw straight down... you get this:

Result : good goal and a very good decision by the ref...

reminds me of a mate many years ago (bear in mind I'm white) - discussing mag tape damage.
I said 'it's black and spotty' and he instantly said 'just like my sister'......

    we both fell about laughing.

I'll go with ITV cameras, John Terry and the ref who all called it as no goal.

It's impossible to call from the angles that I have seen. Given the angle the ref saw it at and the fact the linesman's vision was obscured, then it shouldn't really have been given as a goal. However, it's irrelevant as Chelsea then scored another 3. You could also have argued that Spurs wouldn't have scored their goal if it wasn't given.

Either way all it proves is that we need goal line technology now and that Spurs really are ****.

  13. Erm, it was a goal. I know because I saw the score change from 1-0 to 2-0!

Actually in all seriousness, this latest angle, which nobody showed on the day, does make it look like a very good decision to allow the goal.

  14. I have run the image through some complex spacial algorithms, and can now definitively prove it was a goal - case closed:

To be honest it was a clear goal. Atkinson had a good view and made a brave call. All the tv camaras freezed it when the ball was alrdy on the way out.

It was a goal as that photo clearly shows. Case closed.

Nope, foul by John Terry in the build up, very poor missed call.

As a Chelsea fan I know what it feels to have the referee miss a foul by the attacking team and then a ghost goal to be awarded. They can be grateful though that they don't know what it's like to have the opposition fans, pundits and media tell you that you're wrong and even lucky to not have had a penalty and red card given against you, with the referee not only not giving an apology, but justifying his ridiculous call.
