Now I'm all for them in attracting more people, filling the stadium, giving those who normally cant afford to go get to see us live, well done SAFC.

However, if I'm honest, just to say,

37,000 ON Saturday was nowhere near filling the stadium so is it worth it, some it attracts come for a cheap day out and only criticise and what about MY perk for paying full price, in advance for my season card.

I get discounts on things in the store I don't buy.
My seat guaranteed but at full price without perks.
And I get to buy cheap tickets for people who benefit but not me.

Just interested to see if I'm just an old moany git or if anyone agrees with me, well, someone may.

How much is a season ticket £400?

    £30 a ticet for 16 home games = £460

So you get 2 free games anyway with buying a season ticket.

Hence why the club can offer cheap tickets for a couple of games, you are still saving a tenner (not much but you are still saving)

Wonder how many of the £5 tickets were taken up.

But you are correct, season ticket holders don't seem to get to much for their time, money, and years of utter ****e performances.

Would you have complained if we got to Wembley and everyone wanted tickets whilst you had first choice?

But how much would your seat be if you got it on a match per match basis?

7 cat A matches @ £36 (if you are on the center line) = £252
    9 for cat B @ £30 = £270

    £522

yep you are getting ripped off, really not sure how the club can justify that, or someone just cant do maths and is ripping you off.

Category A*: Manchester United, Newcastle United
Category A: Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur

For the normal fan its just A or B. So all those are A everyone else is B.

I got one and my dad got one for my son and nephew - for £10 for 2 games you can't really fall off. I wonder how many people did the same??

My son enjoyed the game!! He'll learn more about football soon, don't worry

Naive in the extreme to blame all the booing on the £5 tickets IMO, that's just an easy kop out.

On your season ticket, it is hardly the clubs fault that you don't utilise the rpivileges that your card offers you like buying from the club store <laugh>

<laugh> Just giving my opinion, don't think it's fair to basically blame a group of people because of their earnings, seems a little high and mighty to me, only my opinion.

Maybe the club are looking at this back to front? I suppose they have done all the Maths to work out the optimum pricing for the highest yield. Clearly the £5 £10 tickets are there as "loss leaders" it will make them very little money but it is in the hope that people will return and end up season ticket holders. It also fills up the ground better. I understand why the club do it but I also understand why it annoys you.

However, playing like they did is more likely to put them off for life!

The cheap tickets, I think, are a wonderful idea. We had half price season tickets for those who were unable to afford a full price one after having played a few home games already. Not everyone is privileged enough to afford such extravagances like football tickets. Sure, it may not sell out straight away, but it is bound to eventually.

Maybe I'm too old to work this out, but if we play 38 PL games a season, surely we play 19 home games. If not, that's why we struggle cos we play more away games than anyone else!!!
