This will be a thread with a difference. I’m proposing to have a thread where people who want to participate will do so in alphabetical order with a timed slot on a particular day over a period of about one hour. Each person will write a brief message on their most memorable moment from the 2011/2012 season and then hand over to the next person on the list. For example, if the first few participants are: Aswan_dam 7:00pm Billybjack 7:04 pm Dilligaf 7:08pm Doctor Love 7:12pm............ There might be several people beginning with A,B,C or D etc. We will use this online clock to ‘syncronise watches’. http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time/scripts/clock-8/runner.php?tz=europe_london At 7:00pm I would post: “My most memorable moment of the season was [whatever it was]. Over to you Billybjack.” At 7:04pm Billybjack can post. “Thanks Aswan_dam. My most memorable moment of the season was [whatever it was]. Over to you Dilligaf” At 7:08pm Dilligaf can post. “Thanks Billybjack. My most memorable moment of the season was [whatever it was]. Over to you Doctor Love” At 7:12pm Doctor Love can post. “Thanks Dilligaf. My most memorable moment of the season was [whatever it was]. Over to you ...[whoever’s next]” And on it goes. You can’t post before your allotted time slot. If the person before you fails to post you must assume they are busy/have forgotten and carry on regardless. Sensible outsiders would be welcome as long as they enter into the spirit of it. It would be useful to have a moderator on hand to delete any idiots who gatecrash and try to spoil. If you can’t make it on the chosen day (Tuesday 1st May from 7pm) that would be tough luck. Come on..you know you want to!

Well done guys. I'm obviously up for it myself, so that's 3.....would need a minimum of 20. Cracker, can't decide on a day until we're mathematically safe. We don't want any egg on faces! I can't just put people's names up willy-nilly. I think it has to be a voluntary thing. I'm just looking for interest at this point. Clearly when the day is decided one or two would not be available - that's understandable and no problem
What if me and KJ disagree about something(never happens of course) does that mean i Will have to wait and reply in alphabetical order
Why all the complications with time slots/alphabetical order etc. Far simpler to just let people post as and when but make it clear what you want people to post about so the thread doesnt go off track
Well that would just be a normal thread I wanted to do something a bit unusual for a special occasion. It's a bit left-field admittedly, and if people generally think it's daft, it's no problem - I'll scrap the idea. To be honest, the content of the thread is of minor importance, it's more the FUN CONCEPT that I was going for I guess if you think that getting a thread with one post from each person in alphabetical order is a pointless task, then it's not for you. [SS99 - I'm disappointed in you, I thought you'd be the first one on the list]
the alphabetical thing wont work will it, posters are on here at different times and i cant see fans waiting not knowing when they should post.....i can see where you are coming from but surely there must be an easier way......thats all im saying....
Participants will have to make themselves available at the time slot allocated to them - it's as simple as that. If they can't post in their time slot for whatever reason (and I'm sure there are many valid reasons) then I'm afraid they can't take part. Simples! When all the timed posts have been finished, the thread is effectively closed.
