No it's not. It's a decent blog that might not paint the same picture of all things United and football that you do in your United bubble where Young is the most fouled player in history and Eric Cantona's goal in the 98th minute at Loftus Road wasn't questionable at all. Hardly a wum.
Hardly a clear pen was it, for the second week running. Even if it was, for the millionth time, throwing yourself over like that is still cheating.
You're like a child who has heard he has to go to the dentist so puts his fingers in his ears and shouts until everyone gets bored and goes away. A dive is a dive- whether there was a bit of contact or not, it's not right and you know it.
A different view here.At Saturday when City played us Tevez went down in the area and got booked. Our player stood on his toes but Tevez went down like he had been shot.Everyone was saying "Stonewall". If you look at the Ashley Young penalty in slo-mo the Villa player does exactly the same thing.Probably a bit further down the foot but I fail to see the difference. If the media are all saying Tevez should have got the pen then yesterday's was one too. They can't have it both ways.I get the impression that most of the pundits want City to win the title.Crooks even still reckoned they will, despite all the evidence to the contrary. There seems to be a bit of a double standard here. Young went down easily but to suggest that Ferguson encourages it more than other managers is ridiculous. Most players will do it.The ones who don't probably won't make the team.
Gerrard doesn't have the agility to do that any more, even if he wanted to! It's a while since we've seen his starfish dive, and even then it was rare enough. Worst 'simulators' in the league at the moment have to include Suarez, Young, Bale and Jelavic (who always goes down like he's been shot).
I'm delighted to oblige. That said, the piece really only mentions that in passing. There are bigger wind-ups than Ashley's Tom Daley impressions in the razzmatazz of today's super soccerball.
The worst dive by Gerrard was when he dived against Blackburn and stuck out his right leg in an attempt to have it connect with Brad Friedel, and win a penalty. Cheating git.
The last 2 home games he has won us penalties that have been controversial and now he's running the risk of being called a diver, the one last week against QPR i felt might've been a penalty becuase Shaun Derry pushed him in the back and yesterday against Aston Villa its a penalty but he looks for it, even the anager said after the game yesterday. I hope next time when he's in the box he doesn't go down too easy becasue referees are going to watch every move he makes. In my opinion he's not a diver and i'm sure if he is, then the manager will have wors with him becasue i remember when Cristiano Ronaldo joined us, he was diving and he got booed at every away ground he was at, the same happened to Nani he was diving but fair play to him, he cut it out, and i'm sure that will happen with Ashley Young. By this time next season he won't be diving, he'll cut it out from his game and when there is contact he'll go down if he's being fouled.
Pen all day of the week?!?!?!?!, he had to swing his right foot over to his left to stand on the defenders foot, clear as day, he couldnt stand on the defender with his left foot as his stride was off so he swings his right foot left after knocking the ball right and steps on the defenders foot and launches himself, noone cares but it was 0% a penalty.
Like we'll take talk from a Liverpool supporter about diving following Carroll's efforts to get Krull sent off recently.
